A few years ago i filmed this basic Table Juggling tutorial.
The original idea was to push other jugglers to practice and film more advanced tricks inspired in using surfaces instead of air (more objects, longer periods, passing, bounce or roll...) I think the possibilities are amazing!
If you want to watch really complex table juggling there is a chapter in Social Siteswaps DVD by Gandini Juggling called Tables in Madrid that i filmed with my friend Daniel Shultz where we pass some period 10 tricks and some huge amount of objects and hard siteswaps.

New ideas, new props, new life.
Had the idea for a long time to mix contact with other props (in particular the RDL props), so I gave myself a challenge of trying to come up with some mini routines over the summer. Still in the early stages but its somewhere I want to look into more.
Going to live in Japan permanantly from the 30th so its a kind of goodbye UK/home vid. After a very long wait its time to start a new life.

Brainstorming session using 3 balls and only the inside part of the arm. Salaryman - A full length video combining contact bodyrolling, finger stalls and mixed props (Renegade Design Lab).
I've made plenty of videos up until now but I felt like creating something more substantial for a change. The idea came several months ago during a very low point at my job (basically a lack of anything to do), so I've used all that pent up energy and frustration and decided to create some new ideas and see if I could take contact juggling somewhere that maybe hasn't been explored before. Theres plenty more to be done but this is a first step towards where I would like to be with my juggling in the future.
I'm not interested in asking people to pay to watch or for donations (it just wouldn't feel right), I simply ask that if you like what you see, please share it! As long as it gets around and (hopefully) inspires somebody then it has done it's job.

October 2010 saw a collaboration between the Ministry of Manipulation and Aragorn Boulanger, aimed at teaching advanced level illusion techniques combining Contact juggling and dance.
The 5 days of workshops at the Juggling Center Berlin, run by Ed Adams and Aragorn, provided everyone with a huge amount of information and ideas.
Everything Aragorn was teaching could be directly applied to the techniques that Ed was teaching. The perfect collaboration...
So, where does it all go to from here...?

Throw in tricks were a bit of a theme... as was Pingu.
Also, we got 1 round of the first galloped manipulator pattern where everybody gets to be in every position. More galloped manipulator patterns (and more rounds) will follow.

the Boscombe Spinners Circus Club did a lot more in March , the weather turned lovely agin and we ventured back outside where we belong, and onto the beach again for fire spinning, Ruby the hoop was Christened and partner poi was learnt. lots more fun to come people!

well... first there is this bit with the sound system to go with the name and to match then music then i do a three club trick where they balance on my arms and stuff then it goes to the thing with different clashes and short tricks to match the music then i do a 5 ball trick with back crosses and a spin around and more back crosses with numbers and x's and things then i do 4 club singles while having 2 clubs on the ground one on top of the other so that i can step on the fat end of one using it as a lever to flip the other one into my hand and go into a 5 club cascade... you know what, i don't really have time to write out a description so maybe you better just watch the video.

Cinthia has recorded a video per year, since she began practicing juggling this is the last video of the room of time trilogy (based on dragon ball), showing in her performance the power of the room of time.
She is a young juggler from the city of Torreon in Coahuila and for three years she has been training and she received Mr Popo's knowledge at Unicirclo Laguna.
Specialized in balance techniques domain, The video it's recorded at Unicirclo Laguna a big and beautiful vintage house located downtown of the city; where time stops with walls filled of color and beautiful sight. Anybody in the world can come here to train and upgrade their level.
In this video we can see ball and club in the head, a backcross addiction and we couldn't miss the unicycle her crew's representative logo.

my new trick. In theory, it starts with an impossible collision (where all three balls peak at the same time, at the same height - in theory) and tapping the outside balls to a rainbow and into three ball cascade.

Or you can call it 'Thanks Juggle Art', but that doesn't look as cool.
Just a practice vid from Tues 22 feb, so minimal editing. Most of the tricks are new with the diabolo, except the Vertax one where the diabolo goes out of the screen (I saw Will C do it at MJC) and the infinite suicide one. And a juggling TV first: Hamish juggling with up to 5 balls.
I'm good to make a tutorial for any trick at all!

The feeder is "A", the juggler to the feeder's left is "B" and the juggler to the feeder's right is "C". The feeder counts "1 2 3" to make it easier to keep track of where we are in the pattern. On beats 1 and 3, A (the feeder) and B exchange a pass. On beat 2, A and C exchange a pass. On 3, juggler B catches the pass and walks on four count (rotating the positions anti-clockwise).
1. "sB": The manipulator substitutes a pass from A to B.
2. "iC": The manipulator (M) intercepts a the pass from A to C. The juggler who was C is the new manipulator, and reads from the manipulator line. The old manipulator reads C's line.
3. "cC": The manipulator carries a club to C. All the jugglers are re-labeled and the new feeder starts counting the 3 passes.

Headstop Cascade - A three hat juggling pattern where each hat is thrown to the head.
This is a series of Throw To Heads, alternating hands, but immediately after you make the throw, you have to take off the hat on your head with the throwing hand.

Onehanded, Continuous Tumbles - The hat keeps tumbling, in your hand, continuously, infinitely, forever, or at least until you stop.
This trick is an extension of the Tumble - so go learn that one now.
You'll notice that after you have performed a tumble, you are holding the hat the wrong way round to perform a second tumble immediately after it. This is where the extension comes in.
During the first tumble (which is a standard tumble), the hat rotates 1.5 times. The second tumble is similar, but the hat is thrown without a change in grip, it still does 1.5 spins, which means that it is now facing the same way as when you started!
Inorder to give yourself space for the second tumble, it feels like you need to throw it a tiny bit higher or faster.
Try to make it all flow together into a continuous movement, the hat shouldn't ever pause, the hand acts more as a guide to keep it rotating in the right direction.
A nice variation on this is to tumble the hat infront of you, switching hands between tumbles.

The hatstand made its debut at chocfest 7, where I was compering. After a period of prototyping and refining, I built the version that worked. I demoed this a couple of times then it broke. I replaced the elastic and set it up for the big day, used it on stage and it worked, then broke next time I used it.
Be prepared to spend significant tinkering time in between uses, and for frequent breakdowns. That said, it's never let me down when I've needed it.
All in all I've found it a great way to get chicks[1], if you don't count the long evenings spent honing the design and strewing the house with geeky construction equipment, and the fact you'll be laughed out of most nightclubs if you go in wearing a topper. But on stage it works, and it has drawn admiring glances from fellow jugglers and even won us a bag full of croissants on one occasion.

The Shuffle - Another three hat juggling trick - this time it's the half shower
This is a variation of a jugglers' trick called the Half Shower.
Start with one hat on the head, and one in each hand, held in an outside grip. Throw one hat across the body, flat, with no spin. As soon as you've let go of this hat, take off the one on your head with your now-empty hand. The other hand slaps/places its hat onto the head, just in the nick of time to then catch the first (thrown) hat. You should now be back where you started.
The timing is a little odd for this one, but just remember "Throw.... take....place....catch", and you'll get it.

Thumb Spins - Spin the hat around your thumb
Hold the hat in an inside grip and spin it so the top of the brim stays in contact with the thumb. After a single spin catch it again in an inside grip.
Once you've mastered singles try longer spins. This trick is very versatile and can be used to add lots of flourishes. Try adding one in anywhere that you use an inside grip, or just throw one in with your hand outstretched or up above your head.

This is a combination of parts of two other tricks, so it would probably help to learn them first. They are the Arm Roll and the Wipe Up
Start with the hat on your head. With the right arm, do the first part of a wipe up, just to the point where the hat comes off your head. However, instead of carrying it out to the side, push the hat back on your head so that the bottom of the brim comes into contact with your shoulder blades.
Use your upper arm to push the hat off and to the left, so that it can roll down your arm as though you were doing an Arm Roll, catching it in you hand as you do so
One variation that Mike is fond of, is to grip the front part of the crown with the crook of the elbow. Mike claims this gives him more options, and more control over where the hat goes. Try it, it may work for you too!
