Footage from a summer 2016 trip to Toronto with Ari and Jeff was still on my old camera, so I put together a video in a mad dash before JTV enters archive mode./nWe were all pretty rusty here, but we had a lot of fun. As a continuation to my “jam” video series, I was able to collab with another prominent Mexican juggler during my study abroad experience in Mexico. This time I have a female juggler for the first time in this series, and I am very honoured that this juggler is La Flaka. La Flaka is known for being the first (or only) juggler in the history to explore the top-of-the-head balance in the midst of tricks. Before her, jugglers had done patterns while holding that club balance, but no one was ever able to actually integrate the top-of-the-head balance with different siteswaps and body rolls. After hanging out with the Unicirclo Laguna crew in Monterrey for a week, I noticed the potential for modern passing tricks with her and I decided to visit them once again in order to record this video. Thank you Tinoco, Flaka and Leonardo Icaza for making this possible and for being extremely kind and welcoming!

Jessica is 8 years old and loves all things juggling especially her clubs. So far she has the 3 Club cascade - Over The Top - Tennis and Half Shower's with them but she is loving it and likes to practice for 10-15 minutes at least once a day with them.

the twelfth annual diabolo.ca collaboration video celebrating the thirteenth anniversary of the D.ca forum./ndiabolo jugglers from many different countries are here sharing their tricks with all of us. Let me go into more details for you, getting these balls delivered was the first issue I came across. It took a while to resolve issues I was having with the delivery company and for whatever reason I was charged an extra fee to get them released from Parcel Force to me. The balls I received are great quality and one day they will be amazing to juggle, but they are in no means “underfilled beanbags.” I do however appreciate Gregory for all the time and effort he put in to making me a logo and creating the balls and wallet, it was incredible of him to do that off his own back and I really appreciate it. I was in contact with Gregory and told him how awesome it was of him to be doing such things, I even sent him a small amount of money as a thank you for the Logo he created, he gave me his info but never acknowledged it after that. I think Gregory is awesome but I also think he is too busy at times and I believe that may impact how he reacts with customers of the business.

Scrambled 3 with an extra club. Note that when C would do L:4x, R:2, R:4p in other ambled patterns to switch sides, here the necessity to do two right hands in a row is solved diferently L:3, R:5px, R:2. The pass is substituted, but it is a 5px which is why the manipulator has it for so long that they have to do a self and intercept before they deliver the 5px

Dolby 7.1 is the latest in the series of patterns that have manipulation similar to the classic Dolby Söround http://juggling.tv/1742
In this new pattern, we add a club to the Dolby 5.1 pattern, first shown http://juggling.tv/16656 Dolby 5.1, Dolby 5.2 and Dolby 7.1 were all composed together as a set.
Seeing as Dolby 7.1 is another step up in the difficulty of manipulator patterns I've not gone with a standard pattern video, but instead added some training patterns - like a workshop.
Workshop tips:
1. Keep the tempo slow when you are throwing the heffs - you are controlling the pattern speed.
2. The manipulation needs to be a little faster than you might do it in Dolby 5.1, as the tempo is set by the dwell+height of the heffs. Slow manipulation can introduce timing problems for catching the 4p4p.
3. Heffs (4) and double passes (4p) must be the same height in order to keep good timing.
4. The pattern is synchronous.

Interception line changes are immediate - the juggler and manipulator swap line before the next beat. So, even if it is a 1 beat intercept with a line instruction after it, the juggler and manipulator change lines first, then read the line change instruction afterwards. They follow both instructions, but the order is important. So if a manipulator line showed at the end of the line: iB => M the juggler who was B up until the last instruction becomes M because of the intercept (iB) and then they stay M because of the (=> M).

Jorge Vilchis is the person who motivated me to start juggling clubs and that’s why he’s the perfect fit for this series.
