A little doublestaff compilation from a training session early this year.
I'm not quite sure how to describe this style. Some people just call it old school spinning. I'd like to coin it power spinning if i may.... sounds like a fitness fad though..
Shot in the training room of Cirque du Soleil's Zaia show, which was at the Venetian Macau before sadly shutting down in March this year.

I've put together a video of a bunch of different club passing patterns. All jugglers are graduates of Messiah College (I still go there). Credit goes to John Chase for teaching the rest of us these patterns and being, by far, the best juggler in the group. Roundabout varient where one club has to remain over a certain point on the floor. Similar to tessabout in concept, but instead of a "lazy person" who wont move, there is a lazy club who won't traverse the gym. Possibly it had too much to eat at dinner.

One more year we bring you our Collaboration Video. Spanish diabolo players from all around the country and even abroad team up for an almost 10 minutes video.
This year we pay tribute to Kukutza III (in Bilbao), an occupied cultural center that has been providing a mixed and wide cultural alternative for many years in a working-class neighbourhood. It's been evicted and next demolished in September 2011. http://kukutza.blogspot.com/
We also want to dedicate this to all the people suffering the consequences of a crisis and the ones taking the streets to protest. Don't give up; we can.
Thanks to all the diabolo players involved, and especially to our editor, Blonfu, for his hard work. :)

I've been working on collisions (as I like to call them) for about three years now. In essence it's when two (or more) balls hit each other. I've also been playing around with taps (where you tap the ball(s) with your hand); this video has most of the three ball tricks I've learnt.
Filmed on Crosby Beach, near Liverpool in September 2014.

le poids seul permet de trouver l’envol : se soulever, oser la vivacité,
s’offrir l’agilité, à contrario de l’immobilité.
Et pourtant nous ne sommes pas oiseaux, la légèreté peut
se passer ailleurs que dans le battement d’ailes.
Elle peut se nicher dans les recoins de l’être, aux confins de sa danse,
de son équilibre.
On se sent alors plein d'une Légèreté cristalline, vibrante.
Et que dire du parfum des roses ?
