I can't do this move yet so here's a description from Tim: Bacisally this move is just a way of combining a full steve & a matrix into one move. As the staff rolls down the left arm you need it to roll so the centre is a couple of inches infront of the arm (too much and the staff will speed up, too little and the staff won't make it round). The staff then goes round the left shoulder, round the neck and rolls up the right arm. As the staff gets to the top you propeller round the right wrist then let it roll back down the right arm. This is where it gets hard (espcially if you want it to feel smooth). As the staff rolls down the right arm you need to roll it so the centre moves behind the arm then roll it round the right shoulder round the throat and back up the left arm. It's tempeting to bring the staff round the right arm before it gets to the shouder but it don't look as good and it doesn't have the same flow to it). In short the move goes 1/4 steve - 1/2 matrix - 1/2 steve -1/2 matrix - 1/4 steve enjoy

A rather fiendish number 20. Aeroplane > Lever Cradle > Straight Arm Half-Centrifuge & Reverse > Straight Arm Half-Centrifuge & Reverse, smoothly into 1-footed Pirouette > Grip change to Sara grip & swing to Big Cup > 6 Moshikame > [Robin Gunney's kendama + ball sequence] Deadline: April 27th, 18:00GMT Keyword: Power! (Showing the Lever Cradle in close-up to the camera is not required.) No grip changes or string adjustments are allowed (except where they are obviously part of the sequence). Smoothness of movement may be taken into consideration as a deciding factor (especially in the "extra ball" sequence).

Makin' tricks.

Another good move to start with, this is just a reverse elbow wrap followed by a forwards elbow wrap but in wall plane (spinning in front of you as if you were facing a wall). As with all contact, don't let go of the staf untill your hand is touching the contact point (in this case the outside of your elbow). This helps give a nice smooth contact roll. As the video shows this move can be done with hands apart (adding an extra beat) or together. It also leads nicly into pivots.

This is basically a 360 fishtail done in one smooth motion. Try to keep your arm straight and follow the staff round in a big circle.

Twiddled Big Circles - A trickier but nicer version of Big Circles Big Circles is a big, visual trick, but the grip change can be slightly ungainly. The twiddle that this trick adds gives a similar effect but has a smoother, if slightly more difficult, change. Mike and LP disagree on the best way to do this - LP's way, shown in the video clip above, is to do a finger twiddle, as described in the Forward Twiddle when the hat is at the top of the circle. Mike uses a Thumb Spin to adjust the grip. Try both and decide which feels more comfortable to you, there's little point getting both smooth as they look identical to anyone except a hat manipulation geek, and there aren't many of them in the world! Take a pinch grip at the front of the hat's crown and flick it up and forwards. Turn the hand round so the palm is facing forwards to catch the hat in another pinch grip at the back. After you've got a feel for this try doing it without looking at the hat. Either place it straight back on the head or reverse the process to return it. If you use a bowler hat make sure you take a really firm pinch to crease the top of the hat when removing it, otherwise you'll be left trying to catch the smooth round surface of the back of the hat. Once you've mastered this one it's a trivial task to start by pinching the back of the hat and flicking it to a catch on the front.
