Initiated in 2010, The Planet Diabolo Project is an incredible adventure which aims to introduce the diabolo art to the world through some exclusive video content.
Recorded on 5 continents during more than 2 years, The Planet Diabolo Project is an anthem to cultural exchange and diversity.
Envisioned by French diabolo artist Nico Pires and his associates Priam Pierret and Thierry Delaveau, this initiative has brought together artists from very different styles and origins.
The final result will be released ona 4 thematic DVDs collection including: the freestyle movie "Diabolo is a trip",
the educational part "Diabolo is a skill", the performances section "Diabolo is a show", the bonus mix "Diabolo is more". The diabolo revolution is now on so get ready to jump on an epic journey around the planet Diabolo!

Going through as many variations of finger stall that I can think of. In a few cases I just did the index and middle fingers as putting them all in would take forever and be pretty boring to watch too. If anyone has any more ideas for different stalls let me know please!

conceptually, it's the same trick, except I hold the string with different hands. unwrapping stick passes inside of the string instead of outside, etc etc.
With the ever classy "throw at the camera" at the end.

The final part of the "Rhythm" trilogy, palm spinning as graphic manipulation.
I wanted to show also some new ideas that i work on, so some patterns are clean some are not.
New techniques used in here:
- quarter spins
- individual changes of the starting point (point of control)
- 1/8 spins (the diagonal spin-spin & anti-spin, the "cross" & the "X")
- perpendicular spin-spin and anti-spin
- advanced phantom patterns using the techniques above
In this video there are 2 Phantom Patterns analyzed in four different ways each (4 balls, 3 balls, 2 balls same colour and 2 balls different colour):

I came up with this theme after I realized that me and my audience like 2 different types of things, most of the time anyway (of course there are exceptions). I like small number, smooth and flowy stuff, not necessarily easy, but stuff I can do with 95% confidence. My audience, from what I gathered in public practices and youtube comments, they like the stuff I can sometimes do on a good day. Originally this was going to be a my favorites and best videos. One more year we bring you our Collaboration Video. Spanish diabolo players from all around the country and even abroad team up for an almost 10 minutes video.
This year we pay tribute to Kukutza III (in Bilbao), an occupied cultural center that has been providing a mixed and wide cultural alternative for many years in a working-class neighbourhood. It's been evicted and next demolished in September 2011. http://kukutza.blogspot.com/
We also want to dedicate this to all the people suffering the consequences of a crisis and the ones taking the streets to protest. Don't give up; we can.
Thanks to all the diabolo players involved, and especially to our editor, Blonfu, for his hard work. :)
