Matrix

Sandy

The matrix. It's hard. That's why everyone loves it. You can do the matirx in 2 ways, starting on the neck like I do or starting on the shoulder like meg does here. To distinguish the difference I call this version a full matrix because it goes fully around your body and not just under both arms. I personally prefer the full matrix (well I would wouldn't I) because I think it looks nicer but it's all a matter of oppinion. The secret to getting a matrix is to really lean. It takes a while to get and takes even longer (a lot longer) to get it solid. As with everything practice, practice, practice.

Full Stevetrix

Sandy

I can't do this move yet so here's a description from Tim: Bacisally this move is just a way of combining a full steve & a matrix into one move. As the staff rolls down the left arm you need it to roll so the centre is a couple of inches infront of the arm (too much and the staff will speed up, too little and the staff won't make it round). The staff then goes round the left shoulder, round the neck and rolls up the right arm. As the staff gets to the top you propeller round the right wrist then let it roll back down the right arm. This is where it gets hard (espcially if you want it to feel smooth). As the staff rolls down the right arm you need to roll it so the centre moves behind the arm then roll it round the right shoulder round the throat and back up the left arm. It's tempeting to bring the staff round the right arm before it gets to the shouder but it don't look as good and it doesn't have the same flow to it). In short the move goes 1/4 steve - 1/2 matrix - 1/2 steve -1/2 matrix - 1/4 steve enjoy

Happy Clappy

TLMB

A very short run of a 'simple' 3 ball trick that's harder than it ought to be! 3 ball cascade, with a clap between every throw and catch. The siteswap is 900.

Samuli

FDC2006: Spoonful weights a ton Finnish Diabolo Convention was founded 2006 by Sirkus Supiainen. Here's second video of that festival. music by: Flaming Lips Singalong with video, here are the lyrics: ... And though they were sad They rescued everyone They lifted up the sun A spoonful weighs a ton Giving more than they had The process had begun A million came from one The limits now were none Being drunk on their plan, they lifted up the sun Forcing it off with their hands The trapdoor came undone Above our heads it swung The privilege had been won Being drunk on their plan, they lifted up the sun Yelling as hard as they can The doubters all were stunned Heard louder than a gun The sound they made was love

An idea I had ages ago was to make a rolling video, and nearly a full year later and after setting up my apparatus last night, spending literally all night until 7AM screwing around with tricks on it, I have an awesome new video to show off. Welcome to Android Hell :3/nLook for me to be performing this at Philly Fest this year!

I Call This Contact Juggling-Kyle Johnson

anarki_juggler

Damn WMG on Youtube. Long live Juggling.tv! I posted this in support of the Contact Juggling community. I haven't made a pure contact video in a while and I thought it was necessary. Fushigi and its ridiculous marketing/business tactics have taken a lot away from the contact juggling community recently. Things like respect, respect for the fact that we spend years on this stuff. I personally have lots of hard work, study, creativity (i like to think so), and sometimes pain (see, hard work) into this activity. I know many others have too, and I don't like seeing my friend upset over this attempted re-branding and simplification of our art/whatever./nSo I just wanted to say I am not going to admit defeat to this B.S. I'm still going to progress and do what I like and so should everyone else. This is not the end of contact juggling./nArticle by Dube on the subject:http://www.dube.com/blog/?p=765/nPost by Ryan Mellors on the subject: http://www.contactjuggling.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=2

Video Number 20 from the peanut butter cup! It's about time isn't it too? Don't worry, it was well worth the wait, especially as I've just recently had a massive jump in my editing skills while creating this video. I'm not gonna say it's my best yet, but DAMN is it good! Enjoy!

Contact Juggling after 17 months

markconigliaro

I can explain myself with this one. I did the toss juggling shots first since I had different locations and the wind wouldn't let me juggle for too long at a time. And the contact part was supposed to be like 2 straight runs. So after the juggling part was done, my battery was almost dead. So I quickly made the 2 runs (about 3 minutes each) and also shot some experimental tricks. I figured that would take all 4 minutes of my song....nope...after some editing it totaled about 2 minutes and 30 seconds...so I had to stretch it out./nSo this is pretty much an instructional video now. I threw in some names for the hard stuff so you can ask me about those if you have questions./nThe song is Familiar Taste of Poison by Halestorm. That song is dedicated to the last trick I do in this video, it's my poison.

Ivan Pecel Cruise Ship Montage... and some show stuff...

ivanpecel

This is part of a segment that I am doing for the IJA Digital Magzine... since everyone isn't an IJA member, a lot of you won't see this... so I am putting just some of the practice stuff up here... This was filmed on the last cruise ship that I was on in mid-Jan 07. It's hard to juggle on a moving ship...

Club and Ball 2

Sort of a random idea I came up with when I was bored a year ago, and that was "If I can stall a ball on a club, than there must be TONS of stuff I could do with JUST those stalls!" This video quickly followed.
