We are here to help _ JTV FAQs
What video file formats can I upload?
JTV accepts video files from most digital cameras, camcorders, and cell phones in the .MP4, .WMV, .AVI, .MOV, .MPEG, .M4V, .3GP, .DIVX, and .MPG file formats.
Unsupported codecs:
Indeo video; Windows Media Audio 9 Professional; Windows Media Video 9 Advanced; Real Video; Flash video with alpha channels. Matroska Video (mkv).

How long/large can my video be?
All videos uploaded to JTV have a 400MB file size limit. The longer the video is, the more compression will be required to fit it into that size. For that reason, most videos on JTV are under 30 minutes long.

The video won't play - what's wrong?
All of the videos on JTV are streamed through a Flash player, so you need to have the latest version of Adobe Flash installed on your computer. To download it, please visit Adobe.

Why does the video keep stopping and starting while I'm watching it?
-If a video doesn't play continuously, it may be due to your connection speed. You'll need a broadband connection with at least 500+Kbps for the best viewing experience. It's also possible that our servers are experiencing high traffic, which sometimes affects the speed. If this is the case, there's not much you can do, but we are continuously adding servers to keep up with demand. Thanks for hanging in there with us as we continue to grow.
-Try clicking play, then pause, then letting the grey progress bar fully load before clicking play again.
-You can also try this: right click on the player, and choose "Settings", then click on the folder icon, then increase the slider for how much information JTV can store on your computer to 10MB.
-Also, check that your computer isn't "busy" with other processor-intensive tasks (video/audio encoding/playing, having a flash movie open in another window, etc) while you are trying to watch a JTV video.
-Try re-starting your browser and/or emptying its cache.
-If you are on Windows, right click on your Desktop, then go to Properties -> Settings -> Advanced -> Troubleshoot -> Turn *down* hardware acceleration.

Why is my video not displayed in the correct Aspect Ratio?
- Firstly, make sure you have selected "Keep Aspect Ratio" in the player's "Control video size" menu. (Bottom right, between Volume & Fullscreen buttons).
- JTV calculates the aspect ratio from the frame size in pixels of your video. Please make sure you encode your videos to the correct frame size.

How can I embed my video at a different size?
Replace the numbers in the embed code with the following options:
- Standard: _ Small 328 x 294 _ _ Medium 488 x 414 _ _ Large 728 x 594 _
- Widescreen: _ Small 328 x 234 _ _ Medium 488 x 324 _ _ Large 728 x 459 _
