A segment from my practice session today. Drilling BtN (behind the neck) variations of things. It's still bumpy but progress is being made, slowly but surely. Posting on the web for concrit and tips from other jugglers. I start by showing the normal move I am doing/attempting, then proceed with attempted BtN variations of that move.

This is a collection of video I shot over the years as I developed a routine around the tennis ball and can./nHere's my recollection of the history of 3 tennis balls and a tennis can: On easter of 1989 I was bored and picked up a can of tennis balls thinking, "I can probably throw all of the balls out of the can and then go into a 4 pattern that includes the can." I quickly discovered some of the centrifugal properties of the can and began developing a routine at the Celebration Barn with people like Fritz Grobe and Steven Ragatz helping to critique my idea. At the same time in another part of the world, Scott Slesnick had discovered the same prop, but was doing different things with it. Neither of us knew of the other for years, but when we met at an IJA convention in Vegas one year, we pieced together the rumors we had heard of each other and decided that we had both come up with it independently and had been spreading it around the world over the years.

Wanted to try and make some little routines that don't tread on the same old ground as usual. To mixed results. There's still a lot of ways to do things that haven't been found yet...

[2007] so anna and i (selby) made this video over break. i was talking to jon and decided to dedicate a trick to him. then when we were editing, we realized that there were many people we wanted to dedicate things to, so we did. so here it is, not only a super awesome video but a tribute to people who have helped us become the 'jugglers we are today'

Back Roll (One handed) - Rolling the hat across your back from one side to the other. This trick is the one handed version of Back Rolls Hold the had in an Inside grip, with the thumb in a straight line with the forearm. Bend over at the waist, swing the arm across the body, and up under the armpit. Flick the wrist at the last moment to help with the spin. Look out to the side, and GRAB! Haggis' Hot Tip: If you can get the hat to bounce oll on the catching arm as it comes off of your back, this will slow things down a bit. From the TricksWithHats archive
