Plastic Whip Yo-Yo Trick - Luke Renner. The trick is demonstrated using the MagicYoYo K5. This is the basic trick have fun discovering new binds after learning the basics. Short clip of plate spinning on table from 4th Cirque de Demain 1980. The spinner is from the Cairo Circus School. It's only a short clip, but has some nice close-ups of the spinning technique.
This type of plate spinning used to be called "waltzing plates".

Most jugglers think that poi spinners are smelly freaks who go to the desert to listen to trance music, but hopefully after watching this you will also see that those of us who choose to can create some quite difficult and technical tricks. /nIf you like my video please vote for it at www.juggle.org between April 1st and 4th. Pop N' Fresh - Luke Renner. Yo-Yo used in the demo is the N12 Shark by MagicYoYo. The trick was created by Gary Longoria. This trick is a repeater based on the Mondial Hop. Music used in the video is from the public domain and features: Intro music by Richard Strauss followed by two pieces by Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov: "Flight of the Bumble Bee" from the 1940's Green Hornet Movie Serial and the Russian Easter Festival Overture, Op. 36 performed by Czech National Symphony Orchestra. I filmed all these tricks in one morning, so some of them are not clean :(, but I tryed my best, anyway I also put some self invented stuff in this video, enjoy ;).
Oh i almost forgot, this time I also filmed some juggling stuff after a long break of juggling, I really enjoyed it again. I will practise juggling more often again from now on :)

This move can be done with or without the extra spin on the back, i like to vary it. Keep your hands together in a prayer position all the time you are doing this move or it doesn't count. If you can't get this move try continuous steves first, they will get you used to the motion.
