July 3 / Trick Session / Met Up at 1:30 - Contest 5:30
Promote the "Art of Yo" in the Four Corners during the 11th Annual Yo-Yo Contest at the Farmington Museum 3041. (Farmington, New Mexico), registration will be at 5:30 p.m. with the contest beginning at 5:45 p.m. outside the Farmington Museum during Freedom Days! See String Theory in Action! While enjoying the Farmington Museum Foundation Ice Cream Social, take a moment to cheer on the string slingers at the Farmington Museum. The Yo Down Show Down will showcase the skills of some of our youngest museum patrons and is also open to all ages and skill levels. The contest is free to enter and is a bring your own yo-yo event. From this clip, you might think (as I did) that she only showers clubs, but there is another clip of Svetlana on YouTube (link above) which shows she is very competent with standard 4 & 5 club patterns.

Fire torches wear after long use, they should be bound with a new New wick.
This video shows how you can bind torch again.
Use grease for easy turning the screw, turn the wick without grease and it is impossible.

Originally invented by Mushy Pea Steve this move was refered to as "that move Steve does" and became known simply as The Steve. Hold your arm out in front of you with the staff a little above your head. Spin the staff towards you so it will roll down your arm and release it just before the staff is pointing straight in front of you. As the staff rolls down your arm straighten your arm a little to allow a smoother roll and raise your arm up. When it gets to your shoulder raise that shoulder and drop the other so it keeps rolling. As it comes onto your second arm raise that arm with the staff to give it the momentum to get back to your hand.

Haymaker Yo-Yo Trick -Luke Renner. A trick that is fun to perform and features various catches. The Haymaker requires a non-responsive yo-yo. The yo-yo used by Luke Renner is the MagicYoYo N8. Special Thanks to MagicYoYo in Shenzen! String is 50/50 slick string courtesy of Shannon Jackson. Filmed outside in Northwest New Mexico in August 2012. The outside wind speed when the trick was filmed was around 6mph from the NW. The Haymaker is much easier to perform indoors without the wind factor. Music courtesy of Stuart and the Juice Tigers.

here is a little routine we put this together for the school talent show Art of Movement is made of me and 2 of my friends combining diabolo, popping, and breaking vid is from the rehearsal because the vid from the actual show didn’t turn out so well but it was more or less the same bit low quality and yeah.. i messed up a few times at the end =/ but oh well pls give me some comments and suggestions
