Trap N' Roll (One Year of Club Juggling)

lucasadverse

I decided to try clubs and this is a compilation of all the best doable ideas I had in one year of practice. Most of these ideas involve traps and rolls because I've always thought this style of club juggling looks dope thanks to the people mentioned in the video. I would like to especially thank Jorge Vilchis and Yerel Ahumada who are two great friends of mine who helped me in the beginning. I started by following their styles and I wouldn't have created most of my tricks if it wasn't for them. Lastly, I would like to point out that the reason I progressed so fast was that I focused on these types of tricks, and because of that I can't even do backcrosses or juggle 4 clubs LoL. No fancy editing on this one. I haven't had much time to do anything of significance, but here's just a few ideas.

Tricks With Hats: Sweavo's Hatstand

TricksWithHats

The hatstand made its debut at chocfest 7, where I was compering. After a period of prototyping and refining, I built the version that worked. I demoed this a couple of times then it broke. I replaced the elastic and set it up for the big day, used it on stage and it worked, then broke next time I used it. Be prepared to spend significant tinkering time in between uses, and for frequent breakdowns. That said, it's never let me down when I've needed it. All in all I've found it a great way to get chicks[1], if you don't count the long evenings spent honing the design and strewing the house with geeky construction equipment, and the fact you'll be laughed out of most nightclubs if you go in wearing a topper. But on stage it works, and it has drawn admiring glances from fellow jugglers and even won us a bag full of croissants on one occasion. Trip The Switch

IanDD

Trip The Switch, Ian Deady and Gerardo Martin Martel went to Lugansk in the Ukraine, survived the vodka and got to perform at the Future of Circus Festival and win a prize which we were told was Jury Special Prize. We couldn't read it, it's written in Cyrillic. But lovely decrepit cheesy permanent Brehznev era circus building.

Tuike - Juggling Act

peteraberg

The juggling act I did in the annual Winter circus in Helsinki. It's made by Hurjaruuth and this year it was called Tuike which means twinkle. We did 76 shows in about 2 month! Heavy stuff :) It's me as Doctor Alby and Sergi Parés as Doctor Kivi.

Turbofest 2010

DiaboloBros

Quick video I decided to make of Turbofest, which took place early in January of 2010 in Quebec City. Performers include: Joe Showers, Jacob Sharpe, Duncan Philpot, Aaron DeWitt, Shane Miclon, Norbi Whitney, Doug Sayers, Eric Bates, Tristan Nielson, Yan Leblanc, Jon Roitman, "Eman" Pinard, and Alexander Kulakov. It was a blast, and I hope you enjoy the video!
