This is my summer 2010 juggling video. Unlike my last one, this thing is just juggling, none of those other distractions. The summer went a little off plan and for that reason I didn't get to juggle nearly as much as I had intended to. /nMy biggest problem was that I decided I was going to run 50 miles on August 1st. So all through June and July I was running a lot. . . like way more than you should, about 80 to 100 miles a week. Most every day I was juggling for a few hours, then running for a few hours, then studying for a few hours, then eating for a while. It turns out that it's bad for your body to do that. I lost 15 lbs in 4 weeks while I was eating 10,000 calories a day. As a result I wound up really immune compromised and I got shingles in late July. Shingles in very painful so I had to stop running and at that point I gained about a pound a day for almost 2 weeks. For those of you who have never experienced rapid weight fluctuations, they suck. And a special thank you to Peter Brubaker for teaching me how to juggle and giving me video editing tips that made this video way better than the first one. I posted this in support of the Contact Juggling community. I haven't made a pure contact video in a while and I thought it was necessary. Fushigi and its ridiculous marketing/business tactics have taken a lot away from the contact juggling community recently. Things like respect, respect for the fact that we spend years on this stuff. I personally have lots of hard work, study, creativity (i like to think so), and sometimes pain (see, hard work) into this activity. I know many others have too, and I don't like seeing my friend upset over this attempted re-branding and simplification of our art/whatever./nSo I just wanted to say I am not going to admit defeat to this B.S. I'm still going to progress and do what I like and so should everyone else. I can explain myself with this one. I did the toss juggling shots first since I had different locations and the wind wouldn't let me juggle for too long at a time. And the contact part was supposed to be like 2 straight runs. So after the juggling part was done, my battery was almost dead. So I quickly made the 2 runs (about 3 minutes each) and also shot some experimental tricks. I figured that would take all 4 minutes of my song....nope...after some editing it totaled about 2 minutes and 30 seconds...so I had to stretch it out./nSo this is pretty much an instructional video now. I threw in some names for the hard stuff so you can ask me about those if you have questions./nThe song is Familiar Taste of Poison by Halestorm. That song is dedicated to the last trick I do in this video, it's my poison.

This is the first of many videos to come by 2 cups and an axle. It consists of Chris (diaboloist + juggler), Marc (diaboloist) and Zack (diaboloist) who have been diaboloing for 7 months and Josh (juggler) who has been juggling for just over a year. We are all 14 and are two sets of twins that go to Hullabaloo in Leeds. Please don’t hesitate to post your view about our first video and tell us how we could improve it. It took us just under one hour to make the video including editing

A handful of 5 Ball Tennis variations.
The first of these is a pattern involving feet that resembles [44][22]3, then standard tennis, next is 7445555, and finally 7535555.
The foot thing could be more tennisy, and there are many other variations I could have added. I wanted to include all of the variations suggested (tongue in cheek) in the recDot post that instigated this video (753 & 663 w/outside 3s, and 645555 with the 6 caught and thrown crossed arm on one side). I recorded the 645555 pattern and some others that I thought of in a few runs, but decided to use this clip for now.
If there is interest in seeing more tennis variations, I may record a lot more of them.
