ET LUDIT Play & create.

Impredecibles

Et Ludit is a working process that applies the mathematics of juggling to kinetic structures and sculptures. From structures and machines like the Marble Machine, the Goldberg Machine, the Pendulum Waves and the Rolling Ball Sculpture, Alba González, Martín Castaño and Toni Liébana will investigate different patterns of movement and beautiful visual compositions in order to create an interactive installation. The work, combined with theatre-circus performances, will promote the exchange of information and knowledge between the artists and the attending public. Et Ludit is a proposal that encourages participation and seeks to involve the viewer in the project —the viewer is expected to activate those structures, try and recreate its movement patterns—.

hexagonic

This was filmed in 2005 and edited in 2009 (on here, JTV as "Will 2"). for some reason this alternate edit lives on my hard drive. I prefer this edit (it was an early one, complete with a blank space!) so maybe you'll enjoy it too. It's all ball juggling with a bit of bouncing off walls etc.

Living spaces

OlioAglio

We create leading spaces, ending spaces and spatial ends, have you ever filled the vacuum in the air? We will feed the will, we want the satiety with severe perseverance. We bestow infinite distances in finite fake hives. Have you ever filled the void? Living spaces we live, we live invisible spaces. Homes uninhabitable, discreetly distancing us from the vicinity. We run unacceptable risks, we accept impassable rhythms, invincible disagreements feed our heart./nJugglers: +Andrea Zanelli +Antonio Caggioni Flycam and videoshooting: +Filippo Cattaneo Video edit: Zoomba production Music: Dj EL D - Savvy Special thanks to Hashetic Front records Hip Hop Label

Urchin to lady -die erste Kontaktjonglage Umziehshow - von Kerry

Kerry-Balder

Juggle Dream Luxor - 160 LED Hula Hoop

JuggleDream

The Juggle Dream Luxor is simply the best and brightest hoop we have ever seen. 160 super bright RGB LEDs allow over 300 stunning functions including solid white, red, green, blue, yellow, cyan and magenta; as well as far too many changing effects to even begin to mention (all with variable speed control:). All these functions are available at the tip of your fingers, using the mini remote control and up to 16 of your favourite functions can be pre-set for instant access using the custom play list. The Luxor’s mini remote is smaller than a credit card and will easily away tuck into any costume without interfering with the hooper’s movement. Alternatively, the RF Wireless remote is effective up to 50m, so can easily be operated by someone offstage. Being wireless, rather than infra-red, no direct line of sight needed to operate this remote. The Luxor is powered by 5 mains rechargeable Lithium batteries which are equally spaced around the hoop to maintain optimum balance. Charging takes up to 6 hours and the LED

Tricks With Hats: Back Roll (One handed)

TricksWithHats

Back Roll (One handed) - Rolling the hat across your back from one side to the other. This trick is the one handed version of Back Rolls Hold the had in an Inside grip, with the thumb in a straight line with the forearm. Bend over at the waist, swing the arm across the body, and up under the armpit. Flick the wrist at the last moment to help with the spin. Look out to the side, and GRAB! Haggis' Hot Tip: If you can get the hat to bounce oll on the catching arm as it comes off of your back, this will slow things down a bit. From the TricksWithHats archive

Tricks With Hats: Can Opener

TricksWithHats

Can Opener - Literally flipping your lid! Reach over your shoulder and head, and hold the hat in an inverted pinch grip Flick the wrist upwards and release the hat, which will execute a perfect single spin (honest). Coat-peg catch above your head. Minus five style points if you have to look... Plus 10 points if you can catch the hat on your head blind, and without the coat-peg grip. Tricks With Hats: Coatpeg drop to elbow catch

TricksWithHats

This trick is similar to the coatpeg drop but instead of dropping the hat and catching it behind your back, you catch it on your elbow. Hold the hat in your right hand, and throw it up to a coatpeg catch in your left hand. Let go of the hat, and bend your left arm at the elbow, pointing your elbow upwards. Catch the hat on your elbow. To complete the move, straighten your arm and the hat will fall. The catch is similar to that in the wipe up

Tricks With Hats: Dynamic Arm Tumble

TricksWithHats

Hold the hat by the brim in an outside grip with the crown facing forwards. Swing your arm up infront of you, until your hand is about eye level, with the hat tilting slightly upwards. If you let go at the top of the swing, the hat's momentum should carry it through, and it will roll down your arm. The movement that follows is similar to the one arm tumble. Look down your arm, tuck your chin in, and raise your arm slightly so that the hat rolls downhill and on to your head. Once you can do that, try throwing the hat from your left hand, and using the right hand to guide it into a dynamic arm tumble.

Tricks With Hats: Finger Spin

TricksWithHats

It's easier to spin a ball on your finger than a hat, so click here to learn to spin a ball first. Once you've got that solid it should be easy to transfer the skill over to your hat. It's easier with a bowler as the hat will dent slightly and sit on the finger better.

Tricks With Hats: Foot flickup

TricksWithHats

At some point, your hat will end up on the floor and you'll want it back in your hand. You could just bend down and pick it up (boring!), use a normal foot to head (less boring, but relatively easy) or you could use this little move... (Far more studly way to kick a hat :-) Place the hat on the floor, to your left, crown downwards and the opening tilting slightly towards you. Point your right toe, and bring it behind your left leg. Place your right toe into the opening of the hat, and give it a quick upwards flick. With luck (and practice :-) you can make the hat jump up into your left hand. Top tip: If the hat isn't quite in the right position, you can use your right foot to move it around a bit before kicking. Bonus points: Do it without falling over about 20 times whilst filming the damn clip for your website...

Tricks With Hats: Knock to Foot

TricksWithHats

Place your palm flat on the back of the head for a neck chop and knock the hat upwards with the little finger side of the hand. A few tries and you will see how much force is required to get it to spin 3/4 and land on your foot. You need to flex your foot as much as possible to stop it slipping off.

Tricks With Hats: One arm tumble

TricksWithHats

Hold the arm out to the side and move the head so that you are looking directly along the arm. Use the neck chop to knock the hat and a let it roll down the arm. Catch it with an inside grip. Raise the arm up and flick the hat back along it. Tuck the chin in beside the shoulder as the hat gets close and it will pop back onto the head. The key to this trick is to move your arm so that the hat is always rolling "downhill".

Tricks With Hats: Tumble

TricksWithHats

Tumble - Tumble the hat over the back of the hand Hold the hat crown up in a outside grip. Swing the hat inwards and let go so it can roll up past the thumb onto the back of the wrist. While the hat is above the hand keep the wrist bent so the fingers are pointing outwards and lift the fingers as high as you can. The fingers will touch the inside of the crown and allow you to catch the hat in a inside grip. To repeat the trick throw a half spin and catch the hat back in a outside grip or do a Reverse Tumble.

BoB Convention Show - Adam

LP

BoB (Bristols Other Bristol) Juggling convention in the UK, 1999 (BoB1) was held in the University of Bristol Students Union, and the show was in The Winston Theater. I've made no attempt to contact the performers in this 16 year old video, so if you're in this video and would prefer I took it down - please say so and I will remove it! NB - This video is a bit dark, because UV staff doesn't really show up very well on 1990s video camera equipment. It's included in this collection for completeness
