The 64th Annual International Jugglers' Association Festival, July 18-24, 2011 in Rochester, Minnesota.
This year was such a blast! Thanks to everyone who made it what it was, and thanks to everyone who let me be obnoxious with my camera and film you at all hours of the night. You rock :)

MagiClub 13 comes to Sheffield, for Jay Gilligan and Wes Peden's juggling masterclass. This was filmed during the lunch break on the final day in about 40 minutes. Instead of asking people to just do anything, I asked them to try something from the workshop that they had learnt, or an idea that they could work into their juggling. This was on about 2 minutes notice, or less, so there are a few ideas from the workshop woven into this video.

Some highlights of the 2011 Isla Vista festival and post-fest juggling in Lancaster, CA and at Vasquez Rocks. The other jugglers were Jonathan Redman, Jennifer Szabo, Beejay Joyer, Matthew Thornley, Steve (TheGoHeads), another guy who was also good at teaching that 2/3 count passing pattern, Rhonda and Will, and featuring an aggressive beast-woman who collects video of the people she follows around while needlessly and sweatily shouting "harassment".

Jay Gilligan and Wes Peden perform the duet Shoebox show with stacks of rings folding over shoulders onto unsuspecting wrists, a jumping golden frame, instant prop stands in living action, condemned graffiti covered buildings, and 5 club revers spins. /nFilm length: 45 minutes

If you haven't seen Part 1 yet, I recomend you to watch it first.
I am really proud of this part :). This time I took my time to film the tricks smoother and I also thought of what I could do with editing the video, so that there are no black screens at all. This time the story is also without any break, you can see the whole one. I don't know if there will be a Part 3 yet, I will think of it.

As you can see in the vid the right leg works very much like the left arm in a conveyorbelt. When you get the staff onto the foot you need to turn into the staff so you end up in backwards fishtails. Once your into the fishtails you really need to turn your whole body each half beat to get it smooth (no easy task when your balancing on one leg and trying not to make jerky movements with the other).

The video was actually created especially for a family member's own personal "Come Dine With Me" entertainment, and has been personalised for several other uses... This is my first submission for the 2011 IJA Video Tutorial Contest. Most jugglers think that poi spinners are smelly freaks who go to the desert to listen to trance music, but hopefully after watching this you will also see that those of us who choose to can create some quite difficult and technical tricks. /nIf you like my video please vote for it at www.juggle.org between April 1st and 4th. I took the SittCom Circus Crew, who've been learning and developing circus skills over the past few years, to the Milton Keynes Juggling Convention in November 2010. While we were there, I bumped into an old friend from Wales, Pete Gamble. He agreed to let me film him teaching my young people the art of whipcracking. Enjoy!
