Tricks With Hats: Twiddled Big Circles

TricksWithHats

Twiddled Big Circles - A trickier but nicer version of Big Circles Big Circles is a big, visual trick, but the grip change can be slightly ungainly. The twiddle that this trick adds gives a similar effect but has a smoother, if slightly more difficult, change. Mike and LP disagree on the best way to do this - LP's way, shown in the video clip above, is to do a finger twiddle, as described in the Forward Twiddle when the hat is at the top of the circle. Mike uses a Thumb Spin to adjust the grip. Try both and decide which feels more comfortable to you, there's little point getting both smooth as they look identical to anyone except a hat manipulation geek, and there aren't many of them in the world! Matt Hall is looking forward to BJC/IJC

juggle_sensei

Ori Roth and company asked to put together a little something for the Israel Juggling Convention, so I threw this together with the wonderful assistance of my lovely wife and Choji-kun at school. Seeing as I'm going to the British Juggling Convention right before Israel, and given that I'm teaching similar workshops at both gatherings, I thought I would kill two birds with one stone. Note: I'll be teaching a similar set at Barullo in Mexico in June! Banzai!

Trailer - "Inercia Térmica"

Brunitus

Marina and Brunitus presents: "Inercia Térmica" (power circus theater street show) We are two circus performers that, as a gear mechanism, transmit power to each other. We generate power with the juggling, acrobatics, dance, trapeze and diabolos. We seek "human" warmth in the public, raise it up to its maximum exponent and then release it to the environment... That is "thermal inertia"

Samuli

Well, you know the year when Greg Kennedy won IJA... You propably know Denis Paumier then as well... and you know, they have rolled some things on things, like most of us, and Michael Moschen too. I just couldn't resist myself doing the same shit when I saw this 'Air defence mirror from Finnish military' It's kind of fun to do. I wish that I could get my own air defence mirror like that. Then propably I would practise more.

Continuous Antispun Conveyor Belt

Sandy

These are a nice varient of conveyor belts. First learn to do continuous. When the staff is falling off your last elbow, raise that elbow and bring your other elbow underneath to catch it by sort of hugging yourself. Give the staff a bit of a pop as it comes off so as to give yourself a little more time to catch it. When you've got that add the antispin by moving each point of the move to the antispin points (watch the video).
