[2007] so anna and i (selby) made this video over break. i was talking to jon and decided to dedicate a trick to him. then when we were editing, we realized that there were many people we wanted to dedicate things to, so we did. so here it is, not only a super awesome video but a tribute to people who have helped us become the 'jugglers we are today'

Haymaker Yo-Yo Trick -Luke Renner. A trick that is fun to perform and features various catches. The Haymaker requires a non-responsive yo-yo. The yo-yo used by Luke Renner is the MagicYoYo N8. Special Thanks to MagicYoYo in Shenzen! String is 50/50 slick string courtesy of Shannon Jackson. Filmed outside in Northwest New Mexico in August 2012. The outside wind speed when the trick was filmed was around 6mph from the NW. The Haymaker is much easier to perform indoors without the wind factor. Music courtesy of Stuart and the Juice Tigers.

I posted this in support of the Contact Juggling community. I haven't made a pure contact video in a while and I thought it was necessary. Fushigi and its ridiculous marketing/business tactics have taken a lot away from the contact juggling community recently. Things like respect, respect for the fact that we spend years on this stuff. I personally have lots of hard work, study, creativity (i like to think so), and sometimes pain (see, hard work) into this activity. I know many others have too, and I don't like seeing my friend upset over this attempted re-branding and simplification of our art/whatever./nSo I just wanted to say I am not going to admit defeat to this B.S. I'm still going to progress and do what I like and so should everyone else. The 64th Annual International Jugglers' Association Festival, July 18-24, 2011 in Rochester, Minnesota.
