Berlin: Juggling wizards in winter!

johnnations

I already liked Berlin, but this trip I found out that it's the best city in Europe for finding indoor practice spaces during winter, not to mention all the friendly jugglers and circus artists who live and train here. It's inspiring, fun, and very nice to be in a big city that supports and encourages juggling! Thank you to all the talented people who appear in this video, including, but not limited to: Declan, Mark, Luke, Bart, Fabio, Karolina, Alex, Josh (Sorry I'm too senile to have remembered everyone's name! I would like to credit you, so please leave your name in a comment for me, if you appear in here? Danke!) Thanks also to Geraldine and her family, Luke and Pola, and Tona and Mischa for hosting me and helping me with the videography. Danke to the people at Jonglierkatakomben, especially Carlo, and all the others who put up with my broken German. Deutsch ist schwerer als 5 Club Backcrosses!

Best Method: Throw Sequence (Brute Force) Transitions

btiemann

If you want to only watch one, watch this one. /nHere's a method to generate siteswap transitions based on where all the balls actually land; making them all work out amounts to creating a sequence. This is my favorite method, and it produces rather easily, all the possible transitions within the context of the throws that you've decided to mess with, either out of necessity (when throws collide) or by choice (when they don't). /nIf you're trying to come up with a way to write an algorithm for producing transitions, I would suggest that this way is the best way. It's deterministic, for one, and it's comprehensive, for another. /nThis is part 1... stay tuned for the thrilling conclusion!!

Best Way

btiemann

The stunning conclusion to the Throw Sequence method, for asynch tricks. In this case I derive some transitions from 714 back into 741. This one also shows how to do a 0, and why I like numbers and not letters to denote siteswap throws.

Biljauer (young) - in circus ring

bad1dobby

Evgeni Biljauer (b. 1947) was one of the 3 top Russian solo jugglers in the latter part of the 20th Century. This clip is from a TV special called The Great Russian Circus Spectacular. I don't know the actual date, but his age (and clothes) put it in the early 1970s. 5 clubs; 4 clubs & ball; 3 large balls; 8 rings with a balance; 3 clubs This is the same clip as JTV#163, only in colour.

BKA Outlink - Trick 4

Kendamatty

C-Whip. This trick baffled me completely. So I went to the bare basics and looked at "Knees", the second book from The Void and Donald Grant. Coming from a ZERO juggling background, string tricks have eluded me for the past 6.5 years of playing Kendama. Until now....

Blind Overheads.

punkgirl13

Hi! As I get better and better at this trick I decided to make a quick video with the few first variations I'm doing and some practice tips. I hope that this will inspire some people to start practicing it, as I only know of very few who can do it. I included a list of people that I know of below, if you know more feel free to msg me or comment on the video. Also, if you have ideas for other variations then I would love to hear those! Other people doing the trick: Joelle Huguenin: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pxrCT6Cx0kI Julien Clement in the DVD "Object Episodes - Never Give Up" (very solid change from bbb to blind overheads) Chris Hodge: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SrnlZD713Ig Christian? from Germany: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZANJo88J074 at around 1:30.

This is my first juggling video. The tricks are not the hardest, but I am still prouf of this video. I just started juggling about 2 weeks ago. I hadn't played for many months before. I hope that i won't lose interest in juggling again, but I can't promise anything. Maybe you will see more juggling videos soon ;).
