I borrowed a video camera and went crazy one night with taping as many moves as possible. This is the result.

Overview of Excited State Siteswap Transition (Mini-Series)

btiemann

Here's a non-trailer trailer for an upcoming mini-series of Boppo's Whiteboard ... namely, several different methods to calculate or deduce transition sequences between excited-state siteswap tricks. If you know the get-in and get-outs, that's enough to make transitions. If you know of or can find a trick that has states in common with the tricks you wish to transition between, that is enough to make transition sequences. If you know the states themselves and can find throws to convert between them, that too is enough. Also, if you can give the total arrival schedule, if you will, of the entire sequence you wish to have transitions within, that too enables you to deduce possible transition sequences. They all work for synch, too, but the last is maybe the best method for me.

How to bind you fire torches

petje-the-clown

Fire torches wear after long use, they should be bound with a new New wick. This video shows how you can bind torch again. Use grease for easy turning the screw, turn the wick without grease and it is impossible.

Cage Steve

Sandy

This move is lots easier to do if you turn with the staff to slow down the spin. That said you will still probably hit yourself in the face learning it. When you are raising your arms back up to roll the staff down th inside of your arm, try to be as controlled as possible because that is the most likly place you will hurt yourself. Mind you if you already do staff another couple of knocks won't make any difference.

Crater Lake | Off the Trail 2

SlingTrue

Cool scenes and slings around and about Crater Lake National Park (featuring a cameo from Mt. Shasta to the south)./nSling ring is an awesome game where five brass washers are spun on a larger ring and kept in perpetual 'jitter' by moving that larger ring through them continuously. Many sweet trick are possible./nSorry for the poor quality... a better version is on YouTube, oh wait did I just say that... Noooooooooooooo fade to black. Check out my sling store online at SlingTrue.org

Derek Scott - eat the apple ca.1990

bad1dobby

This is the one eat-the-apple routine that actually makes me laugh (with the possible exception of Michael Davis). It's Derek Scott (Canadian) on the Australian children's TV show "Agro's Cartoon Connection" (Agro is the puppet). From the early 1990s.

Tricks With Hats: Throw to Foot

TricksWithHats

Throw to Foot - Throw the hat to your foot as if it was a hatstand. Hold the hat crown up above the shoulder with an inside grip. Lift the leg and keep it straight, flexing the foot as much as you can. With a flick of the wrist throw the hat straight to the foot with a single spin. This trick looks best if the throw is as straight as possible. Foot to Head is a nice return trick from here.

Tricks With Hats: Coat Peg

TricksWithHats

Coat Peg - Throw the hat up to an upstretched hand Hold the hat in an inside grip at waist height and throw it with half a spin to the upstretched hand. The key is to spread the fingers on your throwing hand as much as possible and hold your catching hand in a coat peg grip. The hat lands on your thumb like it's landing on a coatpeg. Tricks With Hats: Coat Peg (same hand)

TricksWithHats

A nice variation on the Coat Peg. Hold the hat in an inside grip at waist height and throw it upwards with half a spin. As the hat flies upwards quickly stick your throwing hand up in the air and catch it. The key is to spread the fingers on your throwing hand as much as possible and hold your catching hand in a coat peg grip. The hat lands on your thumb like it's landing on a coatpeg.

TricksWithHats: Plates - Twistover

TricksWithHats

Start with plate flat on your right hand. Swing it in a full anti-clockwise circle, twisting your wrist over at the top so the plate finishes back in its original position with your shoulder and wrist twisted to support it. Reverse the move to unkink your arm. It's also possible to stop the plate at the top of the circle and bring it back down the way it came. From the TricksWithHats archive

Tricks With Hats: Knock to Foot

TricksWithHats

Place your palm flat on the back of the head for a neck chop and knock the hat upwards with the little finger side of the hand. A few tries and you will see how much force is required to get it to spin 3/4 and land on your foot. You need to flex your foot as much as possible to stop it slipping off.
