Teku Contact - 23 - Synchronised

Teku

An experiment. Apologies for it looking shoddy but its bloody hard to do right, especially with limited room. But more than anything I wanted to get the idea across. Still working on my big video, should be finished next month maybe?

3 ball stack progress 3 - plus machine learning

peterbone

Getting closer to my goal of 10 seconds. The images at the start from left to right are Enrico Rastelli (1920s), Leon Rabello (1936) and Paolo Bedini (1943). The machine learning shows a genetic algorithm evolving a multi-layer perceptron neural network controller to perform the balance in 2 dimensions. A 2D rigid-body physics engine was used for the simulation. The performance of each trial was assessed based on the time balanced and the average 'uprightness' of the stack over the duration of the balance. http://www.mathworks.co.uk/matlabcentral/fileexchange/36911-machine-learning-balancing-a-stack-of-balls

rhythm - part3 (Pomet Phantom Patterns)

congasious

The final part of the "Rhythm" trilogy, palm spinning as graphic manipulation. I wanted to show also some new ideas that i work on, so some patterns are clean some are not. New techniques used in here: - quarter spins - individual changes of the starting point (point of control) - 1/8 spins (the diagonal spin-spin & anti-spin, the "cross" & the "X") - perpendicular spin-spin and anti-spin - advanced phantom patterns using the techniques above In this video there are 2 Phantom Patterns analyzed in four different ways each (4 balls, 3 balls, 2 balls same colour and 2 balls different colour): Pattern, a) 0:19-1:29 Pattern, b) 2:29-3:32

Teku Contact - 22.5 - Multiperson Multiball pt.1

Teku

Filmed on an iPhone so piss poor quality, sorry! Just some goofy ideas we came up with after a few hours. There's literally countless things that can be done like this, but never the time/space for everyone to actually practice it./nMe Souichirou Sekiba Keisuke Azuma (http://www.youtube.com/user/landscape37) Soya Fujimori/nThanks to Tatsu Kurose and the girl whose name I don't know (sorry!) for filming!

Triathlon Juggling World Record

JugglingJoe

Juggling while completing a triathlon. (1/4 mile swim, 16.2 mile bike, 4 mile run) April 21, 2012 Joe Salter Hope you enjoy the video. Also, please spare me the "unicycle" suggestion comments or "you should have done a 3 ball cascade" while riding no-handed comments. If you don't know anything about triathlons, then those comments are very naive, because you have no idea what a race like this entails. I spent 10 months training, researching, and fine tuning what works. Until you actually get out there and see what "works" then try to understand that what looks good on paper, doesn't always translate into good practice. Enjoy! -Joe

I strayed away from my faster, electronica-based, style of editing to pursue something more relaxed in my last few videos. For my first personal video of the year (and my first ever solo video as director and not cameraman), I wanted to revisit this style with my recent progress in videography. I am very happy with the result. Filmed with a Canon T3i (600D), edited in Final Cut Pro X. David Leahy 6

juggledave

Wow, where do I even start with this video? I started the David Leahy series in January 2007 with the first video and carried on to make the next 4 all within the year 2007. The original plan for the 6th video was May 2008 but I struggling to improve and ended up scrapping the video. I got back into juggling seriously in 2010 and spent awhile trying to reach my previously obtained standard. Anyway, Here I am in 2012, 4.5 years after the last video, and I've finally completed it! I really hope you enjoy it, I tried really hard trying to make this video reflect my juggling and even after watching it hundreds of times, I enjoy the final product. Thanks to everyone for the continuous support and inspiration in juggling; you mean the world to me! I do intend on making David Leahy #7 but I have some big plans with TSC so it could take awhile. I do have like 16 weeks summer holiday though so I'm sure you can expect both around then!
