The cascade is the basic juggling trick for beginning jugglers. The balls get thrown from the left to right hand and back again. Your hands move alternately. I visited DPRK in September 2013 and was lucky enough to see the Mass Games twice. The show has around 100,000 performers and it tells the story of The Korean Revolution through synchronised dance, gymnastics and acrobatics. The giant picture on the far side of the stadium is created by 20,000 children, all with books of coloured cards, each book containing up to 170 pages. The scene at the start is their warm up. The show runs each year from July to September or October; you can watch as many videos online as you like, but to truly appreciate it, it's best to see it live.

Learning to spin Rope and Tray at the 2013 Portland Juggling and Vaudeville Extravaganza (sept 27-29 2013). I was testing Bri's teaching skills by being a total novice and providing novice feedback to assist with future instruction. It was a great time full of juggling and learning and friends. Hi!
As I get better and better at this trick I decided to make a quick video with the few first variations I'm doing and some practice tips.
I hope that this will inspire some people to start practicing it, as I only know of very few who can do it.
I included a list of people that I know of below, if you know more feel free to msg me or comment on the video.

A new pattern created using Aidan notation. The manipulators in this pattern are dependent, as clubs are taken by one manipulator and replaced by the other.
4 count static Y base, with B at the back of the Y, D in the middle of the Y, A on the left of the Y (from the point of view of D and B) and C on the right. Aiden notation for the pattern:

My first trip to WJD Osaka. It was held over 2 days and had an attendance of over 700 people in total. Some truly amazing things went down, hopefully this will give you an idea of what it was like. You may have noticed Nick Laffey in there as well, he happened to be in Japan this week so it was perfect timing. Anyone coming to Japan give me a shout and I'll help you out with interpreting or getting you around to the various juggling clubs in Tokyo/Yokohama. Honestly even if you don't know Japanese it's no problem, juggling is the best communication.
