MagiClub 13

hexagonic

MagiClub 13 comes to Sheffield, for Jay Gilligan and Wes Peden's juggling masterclass. This was filmed during the lunch break on the final day in about 40 minutes. Instead of asking people to just do anything, I asked them to try something from the workshop that they had learnt, or an idea that they could work into their juggling. This was on about 2 minutes notice, or less, so there are a few ideas from the workshop woven into this video. Filmed 25th May 2011 Many thanks to everyone who took part.

Mainz Manipulation Mania - Part 2

jo_gazab

The 2nd episode of Mainz Manipulation Mania. This time you'll see the incredible Hagen, who studied at the circus-school "Etage" in Berlin before going to cirkus cirkoer (Stockholm) in 2003 where he developed most of his fine 3 club art showed in this video. He then broke his leg and decided to come back to Germany. From 2005 to 2006, together with Paul Lind, he created some nice 3 ball stuff. Hagen now lives in Frankfurt and teaches juggling and artistry at the Clownsschule Mainz. juggling: hagen buechner music: k* from the wired opening song "ah ah ah" performed by: ernst neger (famous folk singer from mainz) editing: me may 2009 listen to more music by k* from the wired at http://www.myspace.com/kfromthewired

Manipulation Solo - Rough Sketch

Tom_Hunt

This is an early trial run of a routine I eventually performed as part of an end-of-year show. It's still a little rough at this stage, I'm hoping to get a video of me performing this in front of an audience rather than just students uploaded soon.

Manuel Alvarez, circus juggler of Spanish origin. Featured lots of club kickups. This performance at the 13th Monte Carlo Circus Festival in 1988. 2-4 boomerangs, 3 clubs featuring kickups, 4-7 boomerang plates This is a good video for anyone working on kickups, as the director seems to like closeups of his feet!

Manuel Alvarez - Pista de Estrellas ca.1990

bad1dobby

Manuel Alvarez. Spanish circus juggler. The king of kickups! 5 & 7 rings, 3 & 4 clubs (lots of kickups), 2-4 boomerangs, 3-7 boomerang plates ... and one very vocal ringmaster! I believe this is from Spanish TV series Pista de Estrellas, which makes it around 1990.

Apparently Martin was filming a bunch of tricks for inclusion in The Bozo Show, out of Chicago in 1975. It seems someone filmed the taping from off to the side and we get this footage. Martin does a little bit of everything. He also performs a nice handbalancing act (not seen here) in addition to this plethora of juggling tricks.

Matrix

Sandy

The matrix. It's hard. That's why everyone loves it. You can do the matirx in 2 ways, starting on the neck like I do or starting on the shoulder like meg does here. To distinguish the difference I call this version a full matrix because it goes fully around your body and not just under both arms. I personally prefer the full matrix (well I would wouldn't I) because I think it looks nicer but it's all a matter of oppinion. The secret to getting a matrix is to really lean. It takes a while to get and takes even longer (a lot longer) to get it solid. As with everything practice, practice, practice.

Matrix Neck Wrap

Sandy

This is my favorite new move at the moment. Do the first half of a full matrix and you will find the staff wants to go behind your neck if you don't lean into the second half straight away. Let it go behind you and lean to the left to get it back in front of you (an extra spin on the back can help line up the centre point) and then do the second half of the matrix.

Matt Hall is looking forward to BJC/IJC

juggle_sensei

Ori Roth and company asked to put together a little something for the Israel Juggling Convention, so I threw this together with the wonderful assistance of my lovely wife and Choji-kun at school. Seeing as I'm going to the British Juggling Convention right before Israel, and given that I'm teaching similar workshops at both gatherings, I thought I would kill two birds with one stone. Note: I'll be teaching a similar set at Barullo in Mexico in June! Banzai!
