Normally I'm not a fan of people posting their artistic research and normally I would never post anything that wasn't carefully edited. I have no idea why I'm posting this or who would find it interesting but I've been working on a new act and going through old video clips looking for forgotten ideas. This is literally 3:58 of pure improv. One late night, one shot, one song, an empty room, lot of caffeine, a little juggling and a few emotions. There are drops. There are moments that are self-indulgent and overdone. Technical jugglers you will not like this. You guys that are interested in pure process may find it interesting.

These can be done forwards and backwards. They arn't true elbow fishtails because there is only one beat of a fishtail at a time with other beats put in to get positioning. If anyone manages complete continuous elbow fishtails please let me know and i'll stick a vid up cos they are DAMN hard. The tricky bit of this move is getting your elbow across 180 fast enough to catch the fishtail but not so fast the staff flys off your elbow. (See also Elbow Fishtails)

The classic Roundabout pattern revisited in the Rhonda Style to create "Rhondabout".
Rhonda Style came about from the pattern MinuEd http://juggling.tv/15002, but it is possible to Rhonda any pattern using these simple rules:
1. No Zipping! 2. No Flipping, apart from on a carry where you must flip both clubs.

Phantom patterns in rhythm
4,3 & 2 ball patterns based on Pich's theory on 4 balls spin-spin and anti-spin + more techniques about changing independently the direction of the spins of the balls or hands.
Example - Pattern from 0:20-2:06 is: Both hands counter clock wise spin all the time.

Filmed in 2000. A juggling/percussion extract from a one off show called "Big" The percussion stuff was supervised by Simone Rebello. The performers are all part of the Gandini Dome Group. Home movie footage of Rob Murray practising in a garden. In his later years, Murray was known for his laid-back style of comedy juggling, so it is interesting to see him working on more technical tricks here, including 6 & 7 balls. Music is "Ultrafox" by Django Reinhart, tacked on purely because it was the right era, and the right length. Much thanks to Topper and LP for helping to bring this clip to light.
