Biking while Juggling in Korea.

While training for the Czech Open upcoming November, I thought about filming some stuff to bring some motivation to the other players...

Aidan Burns' Scrambled V Variation (cA sA iA) The feeder is "A", the juggler to the feeder's left is "B" and the juggler to the feeder's right is "C". The feeder counts "1 2 3" to make it easier to keep track of where we are in the pattern. On beats 1 and 3, A (the feeder) and B exchange a pass. On beat 2, A and C exchange a pass. On 3, juggler B catches the pass and walks on four count (rotating the positions anti-clockwise). 1. "cA": The manipulator carries a club to A. 2. "sA": The manipulator substitutes a pass from C to A. 3. "iA": The manipulator (M) intercepts a the pass from B to A. The juggler who was A is the new manipulator, and reads from the manipulator line. All the jugglers are relabeled and the new feeder starts counting the 3 passes. We start the pattern with an unmanipulated pass on beat 1 and on beat 2 with sA. Once the pattern is running the sA happens while M stands close to the Feeder. It is still a substitution, but Feedee C really has to pass to M.

I was bored one day and instead of training like normal I filmed for a while. The music is a cover I made of a song I like by Gypsy sons of magic called Rock n' roll. And what is more "unrocky" than ukulele? I didn't play ukulele before so it's kind of impro chords in this one... ;)

Disco Phil created a video using a variety of footage while practising some tricks and routines. The video was actually created especially for a family member's own personal "Come Dine With Me" entertainment, and has been personalised for several other uses... This specific copy is the generic version... This takes place while the juggler is walking on four count. 2. "iA": The manipulator (M) intercepts a the pass from C to A. The juggler who was A is the new manipulator, and reads from the manipulator line. The old manipulator, reads A's line. 3. "cB": The manipulator carries a club to B. We found it useful for the manipulator (who was the feeder for 1 and 2) to say 3 during the carry, for continuity. All the jugglers are re-labeled and the new feeder starts counting the 3 passes. Panto gets it's name from the pass from A to B on beat 1, the club is quite close to the back of the manipulators head (He's behind you!).

Found 2 Fire Fiends at Lampeter while i was staying with Jessx. they perform a lil' duo fire show, followed by me trying to juggle clubs & spin with them too. A lil Poi session at the end too. enjoy & comment

I took the SittCom Circus Crew, who've been learning and developing circus skills over the past few years, to the Milton Keynes Juggling Convention in November 2010. While we were there, I bumped into an old friend from Wales, Pete Gamble. He agreed to let me film him teaching my young people the art of whipcracking. Enjoy!

From Moscow Circus in Finland 1981, Anton & Antoshka, clowning duo, with some great hat and cane (umbrella) moves. Anton & Antoshka are 'reprise clowns' - ie. they perform short pieces while other acts' equipment is changed over. This duo are highly skilled across several disciplines - juggling, acrobatics, rola bola.

The extraordinarily talented Fu Xiuyu from the Changchun Acrobatic Troupe, at the 12th Monte Carlo Circus Festival (1987), kicking multiple bowls up to her head while on a giraffe unicycle ... on a rolling globe! Astonishingly the act did not win either a gold or silver clown, but the Changchun troupe, which presented this act and a highwire act, won "Monaco City Prize" and "Monte Carlo TV Station Prize".

I practised single backcrosses for quite a while now and there was a request concerning the next song in my next juggling video :P So, here you can see my current 3 club single backcross record which is sth between 60 and 70 catches =)

The half shower is a variation on the cascade (the basic juggling pattern). In the half shower one hand does over the top throws while the other hand throws normally. It is a beginners tricks and a fun one to learn.

Despina Kehaiova (15 yrs) hula hoops at 10th Cirque de Demain 1987. Silver medal In the same year, she competed at the Monte Carlo Circus Festival as topmounter for the Kehaiova teeterboard troupe. They won a silver clown. Sadly she died in 2004, aged 32, when her aerial silk rigging failed while performing with Ringling Bros Barnum & Bailey.
