Promote the "Art of Yo" in the Four Corners during the 11th Annual Yo-Yo Contest at the Farmington Museum 3041. (Farmington, New Mexico), registration will be at 5:30 p.m. with the contest beginning at 5:45 p.m. outside the Farmington Museum during Freedom Days! See String Theory in Action! While enjoying the Farmington Museum Foundation Ice Cream Social, take a moment to cheer on the string slingers at the Farmington Museum. The Yo Down Show Down will showcase the skills of some of our youngest museum patrons and is also open to all ages and skill levels. The contest is free to enter and is a bring your own yo-yo event. Three Hat Cascade - Ring Style - Juggling 3 hats in a cascade, throwing them as you would rings.
1. Learn to juggle 3 balls. See the IJDb tutorials page. Sorry non-jugglers, but it'll help a lot.
2. Throw each hat with a flick of the wrist to give it some stabilising spin. Catch the hats palm-upwards, in an inside grip. Rotate the wrist inwards 180 degrees before the next throw.

I made up this integral a while ago and decided to film it for the first time. It is sketchy because i stopped practising it. I submitted it for VOTW on Diabolo.ca but it got rejected...again :\
I call it "Blood Clown (T)homicide" due to taking parts from thomicide and a bloody clown.

The Mondial Hop yo-yo transition move demonstrated by Luke Renner. Yo-Yo used in the demonstration is the Duncan Mondial along with the MagicYoYo N6 and T5. The Mondial Hop is used in Pop N Fresh. The Mondial yo-yo was originally created by Harry Bair and has around 50 string gap settings. Video features an onscreen cameo by Jacob Renner along with Izzi's audio cameo. Filmed and edited in Northwest New Mexico New Year's Eve 2012. Cinematography by Izzi. Music "A Shot in the Dark" by El Patapsco.

These can be done forwards and backwards. They arn't true elbow fishtails because there is only one beat of a fishtail at a time with other beats put in to get positioning. If anyone manages complete continuous elbow fishtails please let me know and i'll stick a vid up cos they are DAMN hard. The tricky bit of this move is getting your elbow across 180 fast enough to catch the fishtail but not so fast the staff flys off your elbow. (See also Reverse Elbow Fishtails)

Stalling fishtails is a nice way to go into other moves and can be the saving grace when you cock them up. If the staff starts sliding off your hand go into a stall and strike some cheesy pose (everybody loves cheese) and then just carry on. Throws are quite nice from stalls but you can also go into a halo roll or many varients thereof
