This is my summer 2010 juggling video. Unlike my last one, this thing is just juggling, none of those other distractions. The summer went a little off plan and for that reason I didn't get to juggle nearly as much as I had intended to. /nMy biggest problem was that I decided I was going to run 50 miles on August 1st. So all through June and July I was running a lot. . . like way more than you should, about 80 to 100 miles a week. Most every day I was juggling for a few hours, then running for a few hours, then studying for a few hours, then eating for a while. It turns out that it's bad for your body to do that. I lost 15 lbs in 4 weeks while I was eating 10,000 calories a day. As a result I wound up really immune compromised and I got shingles in late July. Shingles in very painful so I had to stop running and at that point I gained about a pound a day for almost 2 weeks. For those of you who have never experienced rapid weight fluctuations, they suck. I posted this in support of the Contact Juggling community. I haven't made a pure contact video in a while and I thought it was necessary. Fushigi and its ridiculous marketing/business tactics have taken a lot away from the contact juggling community recently. Things like respect, respect for the fact that we spend years on this stuff. I personally have lots of hard work, study, creativity (i like to think so), and sometimes pain (see, hard work) into this activity. I know many others have too, and I don't like seeing my friend upset over this attempted re-branding and simplification of our art/whatever./nSo I just wanted to say I am not going to admit defeat to this B.S. I'm still going to progress and do what I like and so should everyone else. This is my first entry for the first World Juggling Video Federation (WJVF) contest. The theme is "Traces of Plagiarism"... I was worried that I wasn't going to have enough time to make the video I'd been planning to make, so I whipped this one up in an hour or so.

This video was going to have a theme of tennising tricks, but then I got bored and just started screwing around. The result is a video made in a single day, and edited on that day too. I think it's actually pretty good! I tried to get a bit more synchronisation to the music too, and I think for the most part I've succeeded... Any comments would be much appreciated.

We were on the bus station from 6:00pm and our bus was not going to arrive until 11:50am. We decided to record something before leavin Chillán, and this is what came out.

Normally I'm not a fan of people posting their artistic research and normally I would never post anything that wasn't carefully edited. I have no idea why I'm posting this or who would find it interesting but I've been working on a new act and going through old video clips looking for forgotten ideas. This is literally 3:58 of pure improv. One late night, one shot, one song, an empty room, lot of caffeine, a little juggling and a few emotions. There are drops. There are moments that are self-indulgent and overdone. Technical jugglers you will not like this. You guys that are interested in pure process may find it interesting.

I'm so excited to announce that a little over 5 years after its December 2004 release date, Luftgarten, my first full-length (31 minute) juggling film is available again for all of you who missed it the first time around.

A few clips of things I can do on trampoline. No point going to circus school and not learning trampoline!
Note: I am not a trampolinist! Do not expect awesome stuff... i played on trampoline for 1-2 hours per week, for about 4 months before making this video.

The 2nd episode of Mainz Manipulation Mania.
This time you'll see the incredible Hagen, who studied at the circus-school "Etage" in Berlin before going to cirkus cirkoer (Stockholm) in 2003 where he developed most of his fine 3 club art showed in this video. He then broke his leg and decided to come back to Germany. From 2005 to 2006, together with Paul Lind, he created some nice 3 ball stuff. Hagen now lives in Frankfurt and teaches juggling and artistry at the Clownsschule Mainz.

Kris Kremo routine. I wasn't going to upload this, because he drops and quality is not so good and routine is online already. Then I think it's ok because even the best jugglers sometimes drop, and we can see he has a joke to use when he drops. He's good even when he is not perfect.
