Contact Juggling, an ancient art recently codified and popularized by Michael Moschen, is as indefinable as it is magical. After watching 1 2 3 Vertax i was inspired to give 2D excalibur/vertax a go. After getting the hang of it after a day or 2, i tryed to do a sun trick and this is what came out. This was also submitted as a VOTW on D.CA but got rejected for "not being up to standards with what we are recieveing" I still think this is a great trick!

Crazy Hard trick that I managed to get my first on film! I know it isn't REALLY hard, but you should try with beaches and hard wind! Hope you enjoy!

3 3-Count Roundabouts

Jill, Eva, and I taught a workshop on these three 3-count roundabout variations that we deciphered from Aidan's book and reconstructed from notes from Nicki's workshop. Filmed at Passout on Vashon Island, WA.

Luke Burrage performing his 3 ball and video projection routine at the Berlin Juggling Convention 2005. He cut his head open just minutes before stepping out on stage, performed this routine with blood dripping into his eye, and passed out later that night.

I know the title sounds a bit corny but why not use such a cool term? This is a compilation of me performing part of the tricks I've come up with in the last 3 to 4 months. The main purposes of this video are to introduce new concepts and share ideas of tricks and connections between them so please, don't criticise my lack of symmetry or the lack of endurance because I'm pretty aware of it.

Getting closer to my goal of 10 seconds.
The images at the start from left to right are Enrico Rastelli (1920s), Leon Rabello (1936) and Paolo Bedini (1943).
The machine learning shows a genetic algorithm evolving a multi-layer perceptron neural network controller to perform the balance in 2 dimensions. A 2D rigid-body physics engine was used for the simulation. The performance of each trial was assessed based on the time balanced and the average 'uprightness' of the stack over the duration of the balance.

Although so many things went wrong, I still think this turned out rather well.
In the 3 ball part, I went 2 minutes and 40 seconds without a drop, which is good because when I did drop it, I was done anyway. And try to ignore the hiss, I couldn't get rid of it, but I think later on it just went away.
I did something special for part 2, I won't spoil it, but it sucked getting that right, and it still wasn't as good as I had hoped. Yes I shook the camera and didn't realize it, but after that it went alright. although my hand was in the way for one of the tricks, (hint, inside elbow stall, then again rolling it to the fingers).
Contact juggling, for the first 2 parts I was standing on some cloths because of the squeaky floorboard I was on. In this part I decided to take them away so I can stand level on the floor....and you can hear the results. If you can get past the floorboard, then I did pretty good....in the beginning. It's weird, I purposely put the hard tricks in the beginning so if I kept messing up
