A Ball And Two

JuggleThis

[2006] This is a video of tricks using the Japanese props of a ball and two "ball sticks." I made the "ball sticks" a week ago and here's what I've learned. About half of these moves are ones that I've never seen done before.

Contact Juggling at Irvine Valley College

Rabit

I had a slow Sunday and decide to record myself juggling and spinning around my college, Irvine Valley College. I wanted to film around my school showing off some of the sculptures at the school. I am using my Red 90mm acrylic ball and some sock Poi./nI know that the editing is crappy and not that great and I do apologize for it. It was the best I was able to do with the footage I got. I promise to make any further videos better./nThe Music is by Kevin MacLeod and the song is Movement Proposition.

Waking Up

addicted

Its been a cold winter here in sydney....Introducing my first video. Made while sick " WAKING UP" is bit of a mash up of my first weeks filming. Props: Clubs, balls, fire, hat and cane. WARNING: CONTAINS NAUGHTY WORDS Credits: Performance, Film and editing : Dylan ( Me:) The filming has been inspired by my good friend Benny O, and is happening with hopes of developing some solid routines. (youtube link: http://youtu.be/IHn0cjRs4B0 ) Samples "Joint" by DJ_Patz "Radio Ol' T.V." by Mr. Skeleton & B.h(a)ve Main track "Terrified of the darkness" by Arc Jet Most of these moves have been inspired by and learnt through meeting the great variety of jugglers who come through Sydney's Newtown Juggling Club, also those who attend the Sydney Juggling Convention. Special thanks to Julian Orbach, Mark Douglas, Jibe, Erwan Varaine, Arakawa Tempe, Komei Aoki, Ori Roth and to every one who I've had the pleasure of playing with over the years. Peace

ClubMotion

My Stage Club routine in 2010, the Fist time I ever did a club routine without throwing a prop. Now I throw it more often but it was a wonderful basis for exploring manipulation in performance. it was also a cool challenge to move slower and present the shapes artistically. Thanks to David Pham for the footage!

Trouble

danda

Thanks to Gregory for sponsoring me! I´m 15 years old girl juggler from Czech Republic. I had a lot of trouble with editing this video, because my computer is very slow, so its name is Trouble. It is made of some old clips I found in my coputer. I don´t know how to delete the DIVX logo :( It´s nothing extra, I know: There is a bad lighting and location. I move a lot while juggling. Tricks are boring and simple. Just some basic editing... I just want to have some video before my big summer video... The trick you can´t see because of the sun, is 5 ball shower :D Hope you enjoy it :)

Continuous Antispun Conveyor Belt

Sandy

These are a nice varient of conveyor belts. First learn to do continuous. When the staff is falling off your last elbow, raise that elbow and bring your other elbow underneath to catch it by sort of hugging yourself. Give the staff a bit of a pop as it comes off so as to give yourself a little more time to catch it. When you've got that add the antispin by moving each point of the move to the antispin points (watch the video).

Convoyor Belt

Sandy

Another good move to start with, this is just a reverse elbow wrap followed by a forwards elbow wrap but in wall plane (spinning in front of you as if you were facing a wall). As with all contact, don't let go of the staf untill your hand is touching the contact point (in this case the outside of your elbow). This helps give a nice smooth contact roll. As the video shows this move can be done with hands apart (adding an extra beat) or together. It also leads nicly into pivots.

Elbow Wraps

Sandy

This is a good move to start off with if you are new to contact. Do a hand wrap (roll it over the back of your hand) then bring your hand in towrds you and let the staff roll over your elbow. Leave it fairly late in the hand wrap to begin bringing your hand in.
