Some of the tricks I worked on or wanted to work on in the last months. It was cold outside (the sunny day was the coldest) and I had freezing hands. Therefore I was comfortable with short and messy runs.

Viewpoints is a video experiment for a future project I'm starting to work on.
The idea is to play around with the camera position and the playback speed while trying to utilise the music track to enhance the visuals.
This video is just a rough experiment. It's not filmed in a nice location, I'm wearing my day to day clothes and everything was filmed without having any clear idea of how it would be used.

This is a mix of live footage from Three Rivers Golf and Country club where i've been performing through the Christmas 2012 season, and footage shot in the same venue but the next day in order to get some different angles as I was restricted to the use of a tripod. /nHoping to get a full live version up soon.

I filmed this over the summer at the farm in Athens, Ohio that I had recently moved to. I'm doing an internship there for the year. The song was written by Kelly Latimore who also lives at the farm. Water on Mars is a compilation sequence by jugglers Tony Pezzo, Patrik Elmnert, and Wes Peden. The video presents routines, patterns, and tricks the 3 have been developing for the past 3 years. The project was motivated by good tricks, good angles, and the possibilities for prop transitions when you have extremely competent assistants. The video contains 81 new patterns, the 5 club diamond lock, an upside down albert triplex, an 11 club pirouette, the best 5 ring routine alive, and synchronized 7 clubs.

A little doublestaff compilation from a training session early this year.
I'm not quite sure how to describe this style. Some people just call it old school spinning. I'd like to coin it power spinning if i may.... sounds like a fitness fad though..
Shot in the training room of Cirque du Soleil's Zaia show, which was at the Venetian Macau before sadly shutting down in March this year.

After watching 1 2 3 Vertax i was inspired to give 2D excalibur/vertax a go. After getting the hang of it after a day or 2, i tryed to do a sun trick and this is what came out. This was also submitted as a VOTW on D.CA but got rejected for "not being up to standards with what we are recieveing" I still think this is a great trick!

Filmed in Krystallpalast Varieté, Leipzig in Oct. 2005. Luke was always against having his act online, he always felt that if you wanted to see it you should see it live. Tragically that is no longer a possibility and so I hope he'd forgive me for uploading it now. His work is timeless and I truly believe he'd be happy to let us all enjoy what he spent so long building and be pleased to know that his work lives on to inspire future generations. One of the true greats. RIP old friend.

Haymaker Yo-Yo Trick -Luke Renner. A trick that is fun to perform and features various catches. The Haymaker requires a non-responsive yo-yo. The yo-yo used by Luke Renner is the MagicYoYo N8. Special Thanks to MagicYoYo in Shenzen! String is 50/50 slick string courtesy of Shannon Jackson. Filmed outside in Northwest New Mexico in August 2012. A compilation of 22 ideas filmed over 22 days, just filmed nice and quick (mostly) in my room. Usually I get lots of ideas at work and put them aside/forget about them so for a test I figure I'd document it and see what comes of it. Was going to do it longer but I want to let my wrist heal up a bit before JJF. Think I might have another go at this over the winter...

I filmed this during my vacation to croatia this week. Because I didn't have a lot of time to film and it because it was really hot I decided to film a little story 4, because it only required one location. You won't see any new stuff in this video, but you will see some hard combo stuff, mainly with 3.
However I have come up with lots of ideas since limits and probably will make a new proper video soon ;).
