I got 3 diabolo suns! Now I can get them nearly everytime, but please will somedoby please tell me how to do 3 diabolo shuffles? I find them harder than the sun, if you'll believe that. I finally got a hover sart as well, and the other day I got 16 or so otts.

Svetlana Skladana, juggling with the Moscow Circus in Finland 1981. She is introduced as "the dancing juggler".

From this clip, you might think (as I did) that she only showers clubs, but there is another clip of Svetlana on YouTube (link above) which shows she is very competent with standard 4 & 5 club patterns.

I was training in Stockholm in the now, during the summer abandoned circus hall. I decided to film one day and this is the result. It's basically just technique I am working on lately./nAnd there's a bonus material of the most un-clean 7 club flash in the history of juggling! :)
Unfortunately I didn't get any cleaner one on tape that day so I can't say that I'm any better! :)/nMusic: Brand new hate, cover by Peter Åberg.

New ideas, new props, new life.
Had the idea for a long time to mix contact with other props (in particular the RDL props), so I gave myself a challenge of trying to come up with some mini routines over the summer. Still in the early stages but its somewhere I want to look into more.
Going to live in Japan permanantly from the 30th so its a kind of goodbye UK/home vid. After a very long wait its time to start a new life.

A compilation of 22 ideas filmed over 22 days, just filmed nice and quick (mostly) in my room. Usually I get lots of ideas at work and put them aside/forget about them so for a test I figure I'd document it and see what comes of it. Was going to do it longer but I want to let my wrist heal up a bit before JJF. Think I might have another go at this over the winter...

Part one in a series of videos covering stack tricks and all the variations/uses I can think of. This video mostly covers rolling tricks and things I consider "standard". I plan to film and upload the each part every weekend for the next month or so, covering more manipulation style tricks, toss/cigar influenced tricks, and some bounce/ground based tricks.

This is a collection of video I shot over the years as I developed a routine around the tennis ball and can./nHere's my recollection of the history of 3 tennis balls and a tennis can: On easter of 1989 I was bored and picked up a can of tennis balls thinking, "I can probably throw all of the balls out of the can and then go into a 4 pattern that includes the can." I quickly discovered some of the centrifugal properties of the can and began developing a routine at the Celebration Barn with people like Fritz Grobe and Steven Ragatz helping to critique my idea. At the same time in another part of the world, Scott Slesnick had discovered the same prop, but was doing different things with it. Neither of us knew of the other for years, but when we met at an IJA convention in Vegas one year, we pieced together the rumors we had heard of each other and decided that we had both come up with it independently and had been spreading it around the world over the years.

This is surprisingly effective when done well, it can really look like your leg has dissapeared! Unfortunately it's very angle sensetive, it only really works when viewed from the front.
Incase you can't work it out from the video, here's how you do it.
Hold the hat by the brim, with the opening resting against the top of your thigh, move it down until it covers your foot and hides it from view. As you raise the hat again, bend your leg at the knee. Et voila! Your leg has vanished!
Lower the hat again, straightening your leg as you do so. Ooh look! Your leg has re-appeared!
Top tips: Only raise the hat as far as your knee, and keep your foot hidden behind your thigh. A few minutes practice infront of a mirror and you'll soon get the hang of it.
Bonus points: Make both legs dissapear, at the same time...

Hold the hat with the crown to the outside in an outside grip. Bring it across the body, and cross the arms. Flick the hat over and drop it onto the thumb of the catching hand. Uncross the arms.
The hat is now held in an outside grip in the other hand, which suggests that the tumble would be a good next move.
