IJA Recap 2011

TheOmnipotentJuggler

Sorry everything is vertically squished a bit. The JTV size limit made me have to convert it and apparently I did so incorrectly. I hope you enjoy anyway! :) The 64th Annual International Jugglers' Association Festival, July 18-24, 2011 in Rochester, Minnesota. This year was such a blast! Thanks to everyone who made it what it was, and thanks to everyone who let me be obnoxious with my camera and film you at all hours of the night. You rock :) See you next year!

Juggling ball tracking

n8rae

A couple of weeks ago I filmed Ewan juggling three stage balls at the Durham Juggling Convention. Using my editing software I then tracked each ball individually to highlight the movement of the balls and the patterns they make. The results were very interesting. Check them out. I'd love to hear you comments on this video and any suggestions on how i can develop the idea in the future. I am planning to film more interesting patterns with more objects but i thought three would be enough for now. I'll also film it using more light so i can film at 1/200 or 1/500 exposure instead of 1/100 so the balls don't blur. Any way, I hope you enjoyed it.

2 Club Routine (retirement)

wespeden

This is a piece from my show Finger Painting that i performed at the Chapter 2 festival in Belgium. I thought i would start to put pieces that i have stopped performing on the internet so they wouldn't completely disappear from the world. the song is "A Martyr For My Love For You" by the White Stripes. The clubs are airflites by Dube. www.wespeden.com

World Juggling Day 2013 in Osaka

Teku

Watch in HD! My first trip to WJD Osaka. It was held over 2 days and had an attendance of over 700 people in total. Some truly amazing things went down, hopefully this will give you an idea of what it was like. You may have noticed Nick Laffey in there as well, he happened to be in Japan this week so it was perfect timing. Anyone coming to Japan give me a shout and I'll help you out with interpreting or getting you around to the various juggling clubs in Tokyo/Yokohama. Honestly even if you don't know Japanese it's no problem, juggling is the best communication.

Slightly Odd

Skattotter

A strange blend of surrealism, physical comedy, equilibristics, and juggling... that can only be described as slightly odd. Includes multi-hat juggling/manipulation, some odd experiments with a supermarket trolley, and an interesting comedy sequence with a mannequin.

David Leahy 6

juggledave

Wow, where do I even start with this video? I started the David Leahy series in January 2007 with the first video and carried on to make the next 4 all within the year 2007. The original plan for the 6th video was May 2008 but I struggling to improve and ended up scrapping the video. I got back into juggling seriously in 2010 and spent awhile trying to reach my previously obtained standard. Anyway, Here I am in 2012, 4.5 years after the last video, and I've finally completed it! I really hope you enjoy it, I tried really hard trying to make this video reflect my juggling and even after watching it hundreds of times, I enjoy the final product. Thanks to everyone for the continuous support and inspiration in juggling; you mean the world to me! I do intend on making David Leahy #7 but I have some big plans with TSC so it could take awhile. I do have like 16 weeks summer holiday though so I'm sure you can expect both around then!

Teku Contact - 19 - New Life

Teku

New ideas, new props, new life. Had the idea for a long time to mix contact with other props (in particular the RDL props), so I gave myself a challenge of trying to come up with some mini routines over the summer. Still in the early stages but its somewhere I want to look into more. Going to live in Japan permanantly from the 30th so its a kind of goodbye UK/home vid. After a very long wait its time to start a new life. If you like the props go have a look here http://www.renegadesignlab.com/

Introduction to the Wally-Walk

VolcanoBrian

The Wally-Walk was created by the juggling group, Manic Expressions, who came from our home, Appalachian State, and won the national team passing championship in 1987 (somewhere around there). In honor of them and the great juggling history here in Boone, NC we have brought back the Wally-Walk. Enjoy and share!

5 Ball Tennis'

MichaelFalkov

A handful of 5 Ball Tennis variations. The first of these is a pattern involving feet that resembles [44][22]3, then standard tennis, next is 7445555, and finally 7535555. The foot thing could be more tennisy, and there are many other variations I could have added. I wanted to include all of the variations suggested (tongue in cheek) in the recDot post that instigated this video (753 & 663 w/outside 3s, and 645555 with the 6 caught and thrown crossed arm on one side). I recorded the 645555 pattern and some others that I thought of in a few runs, but decided to use this clip for now. If there is interest in seeing more tennis variations, I may record a lot more of them.

珍しい二人のブラジル人ジャグラー (Part 1)

lucasadverse

In case you are wondering why everything's so Japanese about the video, the reason is because we wanted to convey the message that we are very influenced by their juggling in a different way. The main idea of the video is not to copy tricks from Japanese people, but to show variations and tricks that we made based on their tricks. The second part of the video is coming soon and won't have Japan as a theme. Thanks so much for watching! (P.S. half of the description is supposed to be in Japanese, but since there isn't enough space here I couldn't include it. To read it, check out the YouTube link). Inspirations: Adverse – Jr. (Ryohei Kimura), Kota Hayashi (3hirota), Kouta Ōhashi, Yoshiya and HITOketsuraku. Rick - asf360, Shiomi (shiomi2112), Koichi Miyamoto (m5813k) and Lucas Adverse. Music: I had to merge two tracks into one because we had too much footage :P Rip Slyme – Galaxy Rip Slyme – Joint Location: Praça da Liberdade - Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
