These can be done forwards and backwards. They arn't true elbow fishtails because there is only one beat of a fishtail at a time with other beats put in to get positioning. If anyone manages complete continuous elbow fishtails please let me know and i'll stick a vid up cos they are DAMN hard. The tricky bit of this move is getting your elbow across 180 fast enough to catch the fishtail but not so fast the staff flys off your elbow. (See also Reverse Elbow Fishtails)

This was the first move i learnt, it bruised my shoulder for about 2 weeks learning it but it gave me a good understanding of how a staff behaves on my back. Do a neck roll fairly horizontally and when you can see the staff coming round in the corner of your eye, lean to the left and bring your right shoulder up and catch under your arm with your right hand. After you've got this move try a 1/4 steve.

This is my favorite new move at the moment. Do the first half of a full matrix and you will find the staff wants to go behind your neck if you don't lean into the second half straight away. Let it go behind you and lean to the left to get it back in front of you (an extra spin on the back can help line up the centre point) and then do the second half of the matrix.

BoB (Bristols Other Bristol) Juggling convention in the UK, 1999 (BoB1) was held in the University of Bristol Students Union, and the show was in The Winston Theater.
I've made no attempt to contact the performers in this 16 year old video, so if you're in this video and would prefer I took it down - please say so and I will remove it!

This is a collection of video I shot over the years as I developed a routine around the tennis ball and can./nHere's my recollection of the history of 3 tennis balls and a tennis can: On easter of 1989 I was bored and picked up a can of tennis balls thinking, "I can probably throw all of the balls out of the can and then go into a 4 pattern that includes the can." I quickly discovered some of the centrifugal properties of the can and began developing a routine at the Celebration Barn with people like Fritz Grobe and Steven Ragatz helping to critique my idea. At the same time in another part of the world, Scott Slesnick had discovered the same prop, but was doing different things with it. Neither of us knew of the other for years, but when we met at an IJA convention in Vegas one year, we pieced together the rumors we had heard of each other and decided that we had both come up with it independently and had been spreading it around the world over the years.

We are two girls from Finland and we're here to bring you new flavor to your hoop dance! The idea is to show different level tricks in many angles. We won't be talking, because a.) we don't like tutorials with a lot of babbling ourselves, so we decided to do something different and b.) we would sound like idiots! ;)
