Introduction to the Wally-Walk

VolcanoBrian

The Wally-Walk was created by the juggling group, Manic Expressions, who came from our home, Appalachian State, and won the national team passing championship in 1987 (somewhere around there). In honor of them and the great juggling history here in Boone, NC we have brought back the Wally-Walk. Enjoy and share!

Chopped Dolby

brook_roberts

An ambidextrous version of Chopabout, using the turn from Dolby Sörroundabout. The pattern is period 11, although for all 3 people to do each part with both hands takes 66 throws. We do just over an entire round of the pattern (77 throws). In chopabout you do some substitutions, then roundabout out to allow a new juggler to be the manipulator. By turning out in the same way as in Dolby Sörroundabout you can switch to left handed chopabout - doing the switch on every turn gives the pattern shown Chopped Dolby. In Aidan Notation: A: Cs | ss | Ps | s | sP | ss -> B B: Ps | ss | Cs | s | sP | ss -> A M: sAB | sAA | sBA | iAA | cBB | -- -> M

Rhondabout

Ed_Clark

The classic Roundabout pattern revisited in the Rhonda Style to create "Rhondabout". Rhonda Style came about from the pattern MinuEd http://juggling.tv/15002, but it is possible to Rhonda any pattern using these simple rules: 1. No Zipping! 2. No Flipping, apart from on a carry where you must flip both clubs. MinuEd is here: http://juggling.tv/15650 Try and Rhonda a manipulator pattern today!

Roundabout Variations Volume I

Ed_Clark

Some roundabout variations. Yes there are more variations to come. See clubabout, like tessabout something remains isolated, but in this case it is a club that is isolated http://juggling.tv/15647. There is also Rhondabout, the version with no zips http://juggling.tv/15646.

The Bounceabout @ Long Beach

Tobias

There is an amazing house in Long Beach - it has a juggling room with dozens of clubs and three great passers living in the house. Adding a single visitor from abroad, that's all you need for a nice Bounceabout.

Clubabout

Ed_Clark

Roundabout varient where one club has to remain over a certain point on the floor. Similar to tessabout in concept, but instead of a "lazy person" who wont move, there is a lazy club who won't traverse the gym. Possibly it had too much to eat at dinner.

PGDI Roundabout (not MinuEd)

3 count Roundabout variation that changes sides. Exchanges Rhonda-style (http://juggling.tv/15646). Clearly not MinuEd (http://juggling.tv/15650) though our hands wanted to juggle that.

3 3-count Roundabouts

ponk

3 3-Count Roundabouts All period 6, one-sided. Notation in the video. Jill, Eva, and I taught a workshop on these three 3-count roundabout variations that we deciphered from Aidan's book and reconstructed from notes from Nicki's workshop. Filmed at Passout on Vashon Island, WA. All takeouts on right-handed beats. For two-sided variations see the period 9 patterns PGDI (http://juggling.tv/16674) and Vashon Roundabout (http://juggling.tv/16675)

The Bounceabout @ Sturtevant

Tobias

The South Pasadena Jugglers invited their friends to a lovely camp in the Angeles Forest for a May 2012 juggling weekend. We had lots of fun, and got the Roundabout bouncing around in a feed again. The pattern seems to be evolving away from the feed it emerged from, spending more time in the triangle...
