I am the very model of a Modern British Juggler

MatthewTiffany

I am the very model of a modern British juggler, Experienced as thrower, catcher, balancer and spinner-er I know the lazy juggler and I quote the fights historical The loses of Jon peat to brook in order categorical. I’m very well acquainted too with matters mathematical I understand notations both the siteswap and beatmap-able About the other props you ask I’m teeming with a lot of news (hhhmmmm, lot of news, that’s a tough one) With many cheerful facts about what Kendama the Void will use. I’m very good at throwing high like DB97531 I know the algorithms and find rubix cube a lot of fun In short in matters thrower, catcher, balancer and spinner-er I am the very model of a modern British juggler. I know our mythic history Vid Warren in the renegade I saw Tom Derricks rosie cheeks those memories will never fade Out camping in the freezing cold it always seems to smell of grass I even read Jay Linn’s great post about that night with Chris passé passe.

The Black Room 5

Ed_Clark

The Black Room 5 was the zappening place to be. Also holy grail is now so easy that you can do tricks with it! For the six handed siteswap section the ordering is RRRLLL and Doreen starts all the patterns in that secion, then cameron, then brook. 3=zip 6=flip (though there aren't any in this video) 7=zapish 2.33p to the left 8=zapish 2.66p to the right 9=self a=singlish pass 3.33p to the left b=singlish pass 3.66p to the right c=heff f=trelf

Ambled 3

Ed_Clark

Scrambled 3 with an extra club. Note that when C would do L:4x, R:2, R:4p in other ambled patterns to switch sides, here the necessity to do two right hands in a row is solved diferently L:3, R:5px, R:2. The pass is substituted, but it is a 5px which is why the manipulator has it for so long that they have to do a self and intercept before they deliver the 5px

Holy Grail - New world record!?!

Nicki

We took the last opportunity to finish our "project world record" today, before Cameron is returning to England on Thursday after staying in Göttingen for two months. Big thanks to everybody who practiced this pattern with me in the last couple of years: Caspar, Brook, Doreen, Jonas, Rasmus, Andi, Barbara, Anett. Huge thanks to Cameron for thinking positive, training with me regularly and catching all my bad passes.

Dolby 7.1 Tutorial

Ed_Clark

Dolby 7.1 is the latest in the series of patterns that have manipulation similar to the classic Dolby Söround http://juggling.tv/1742 In this new pattern, we add a club to the Dolby 5.1 pattern, first shown http://juggling.tv/16656 Dolby 5.1, Dolby 5.2 and Dolby 7.1 were all composed together as a set. Seeing as Dolby 7.1 is another step up in the difficulty of manipulator patterns I've not gone with a standard pattern video, but instead added some training patterns - like a workshop. Workshop tips: 1. Keep the tempo slow when you are throwing the heffs - you are controlling the pattern speed. 2. The manipulation needs to be a little faster than you might do it in Dolby 5.1, as the tempo is set by the dwell+height of the heffs. Slow manipulation can introduce timing problems for catching the 4p4p. 3. Heffs (4) and double passes (4p) must be the same height in order to keep good timing. 4. The pattern is synchronous.

Raging Against Inadequacy

Mike

Sponsored by Drop Props!/nI did a performance at the Cleveland Fest that was WAY droppy and I was pretty down about it for a while. To try to cheer myself up, I tried to make a list of tricks/patterns that I liked that I could do, then figured it would make an okay video./nThanks to Nikki, Mike, and Princess for help with recording. And Quinn for encouraging me in the fight with inverted sprung cascade./nThe music is Dr. Wily Symphonic by Blue.Nocturne, one of many great remixes at OverClocked ReMix

MiniEd

ponk

MiniEd - 4-person, extra-walking, period-6 MinuEd variation /nBase pattern: rotating PPSPPS feed, with C walking on 2 and A walking on 4; walking always on a left hand, clockwise Manipulation sequence as MinuEd without the zip-zip part; crossing pop helps to avoid clubbed heads/nNotation in video, underlining indicates walking/nPro tip: Pass to A on beat 1 should be aimed at M's head/n(This took us quite a few festivals to put together. Thanks for everybody who had the patience with me at MadFest, Mondo, Charlottesville, IJA, EJC, and Passout.)

Im dem Secret Germen Convention wir sprechen Deutsch sehr gut! A new manipulator pattern based on 5 count is introduced. The manipulation is so similar to that of dolby surround that we are taking the dolby name dolby 5.1 is also a speaker set and 5.2 has an extra subwoofer/pass

Ambled 3V - Unicorn Charge!

wmurray

The Ambled 3V, a.k.a., Unicorn Charge! Performed by Keith Campbell, Ingrid Johnson, Will Murray, Britt Tyler, and Staffan Ulfberg in July 2017./nThe Scrambled 3V is a combination of Aidan Burns's Scrambled 3 and Scrambled V patterns to make a five-person, two-manipulator pattern. In the Ambled version, we add an extra club (12 in total) and make all the passes doubles so it takes place on a 10-club doubles feed. /nIn the Ambled 3, the manipulator (M) substitutes a pass from the right feedee (C) to the feeder (A). But *before* delivering that club to A, M must steal another club from A. (This is the same set of steals as in the Scrambled 3, but in the Scrambled 3 you don't have the time travel problem.) So M must actually juggle for one beat! /nWhen we filmed this, Ingrid and Britt were wearing matching unicorn t-shirts, so when they charged together they made unicorn horns. This is how the pattern shall forever henceforth be performed.

The Black Room 4

Ed_Clark

Throw in tricks were a bit of a theme... as was Pingu. Also, we got 1 round of the first galloped manipulator pattern where everybody gets to be in every position. More galloped manipulator patterns (and more rounds) will follow. See also https://www.facebook.com/trickychicksco/videos/178834085959616/ for a gallop manipulation where the manipulator doesn't change, but still very cool.
