This was filmed on the last cruise ship that I was on in mid-Jan 07. It's hard to juggle on a moving ship...

A little doublestaff compilation from a training session early this year.
I'm not quite sure how to describe this style. Some people just call it old school spinning. I'd like to coin it power spinning if i may.... sounds like a fitness fad though..
Shot in the training room of Cirque du Soleil's Zaia show, which was at the Venetian Macau before sadly shutting down in March this year.

Hi!
As I get better and better at this trick I decided to make a quick video with the few first variations I'm doing and some practice tips.
I hope that this will inspire some people to start practicing it, as I only know of very few who can do it.
I included a list of people that I know of below, if you know more feel free to msg me or comment on the video.
Also, if you have ideas for other variations then I would love to hear those!

5,6 and 7 ball juggling in 1987 at the National Circus of Austria (Althoff-Jacobi). Believe it or not, but when I performed 7 balls in these years I had never seen any other juggler doing this before.
I used tennisballs filled with rice. 1987 was my only booking in a circus, usually I performed in night-clubs, casinos and cabarets with low ceiling. You notice that I didn't juggle very high.

Juggletween is an experiment in distributed video production. The idea was to get groups of people from around the world (We managed France, USA and the UK I think), all working together to produce a juggling video.... but without any of them knowing what any of the others were doing, or even who was involved!

I was asked to perform at JCJC fairly last minute, but seeing as I don't practice for performances I just stuck a few things I am comfortable with together. It had its problems but at least I didn't mess up. Might have to actually work on a proper routine sometime in the future though!

An ambidextrous version of Chopabout, using the turn from Dolby Sörroundabout. The pattern is period 11, although for all 3 people to do each part with both hands takes 66 throws. We do just over an entire round of the pattern (77 throws).
In chopabout you do some substitutions, then roundabout out to allow a new juggler to be the manipulator. By turning out in the same way as in Dolby Sörroundabout you can switch to left handed chopabout - doing the switch on every turn gives the pattern shown Chopped Dolby.

I liked how this one turned out. It's not my usual style of 1 straight take, this one has edits. I had to do edits for various reason. I also forgot a trick I can do very well, behind the back catches with my new toys, and I'm mad I forgot that since I spent a good 3 days straight practicing it.
Like I said in the intro, I've only been doing rings for 2 weeks (well 2 weeks and 2 days) and I pretty much haven't done anything at all except them.

Starting off with the base pattern of rotating 2 count 4 count feed, we then add the maniuplators to do 3B (Brook in blue t-shirt the B maniuplator, Steve in black t-shirt the 3 manipulator). Every 30 beats you get back to the start, and so every 30 beats the B/V manipulator (Brook at this point) switches to the other pattern and the 5 people do around of 3B/3V. We do 3B/3V/3B/3V and then try to exit the pattern.
