Fishtail Fountain

Sandy

This came about through me and Tim messing about with antispin contact ideas and trying to work out how to antispin a fishtail. We came up with the antispin fishtail fountain and realised it could be done without antispin (obviously). Surprisingly the antispin version is easier as it doesn't try to fly off your hand as much. Starting in reverse do 1 beat behind you then go straight into a 180 fishtail carry upwards. As you come out of the 180 do 1 beat of forwards fishtail behind you and pull it out into a low 180 carry back the way you came. Repeat.

Behind the Back Fishtails

Sandy

Pretty self explanitory. That doesn't mean they're easy though. You can cheat a bit by pushing the staff around with your body.

Prayer Steve

Sandy

This move can be done with or without the extra spin on the back, i like to vary it. Keep your hands together in a prayer position all the time you are doing this move or it doesn't count. If you can't get this move try continuous steves first, they will get you used to the motion.

Full Stevetrix

Sandy

I can't do this move yet so here's a description from Tim: Bacisally this move is just a way of combining a full steve & a matrix into one move. As the staff rolls down the left arm you need it to roll so the centre is a couple of inches infront of the arm (too much and the staff will speed up, too little and the staff won't make it round). The staff then goes round the left shoulder, round the neck and rolls up the right arm. As the staff gets to the top you propeller round the right wrist then let it roll back down the right arm. This is where it gets hard (espcially if you want it to feel smooth). As the staff rolls down the right arm you need to roll it so the centre moves behind the arm then roll it round the right shoulder round the throat and back up the left arm. It's tempeting to bring the staff round the right arm before it gets to the shouder but it don't look as good and it doesn't have the same flow to it). In short the move goes 1/4 steve - 1/2 matrix - 1/2 steve -1/2 matrix - 1/4 steve enjoy

Malaysian Diabolo Team Visit

oliver

Compilation of clips that i took during a visit to meet malaysian diabolo teams in KL. See http://diabolo.ca/forum/index.php?topic=8596.msg99592;topicseen#new for the write up. Sorry for the poor quality video and editing, it doesn’t reflect the skill and quality of those featured. Thanks to all of the Malay diabolists that I met, especially Luke and Heng Ee.

Here's the way computers use the state-space to generate transition sequences ... and why that way doesn't work for people! Plus, there's a human-based way if you know of or can come up with a trick that has states in common with the two tricks you wish to transition between. /nPlease note that even if tricks have different levels of excitation, but nevertheless share states with one another, you can just go from the middle of one trick to the middle of the other (or wherever the tricks share the common state), without any "extra" throws.

California Club Juggling #2

Top clips from the past 2 years of club creations. You may want to put on a helmet before watching this. So it doesn't make a mess when I blow your mind :)

Miscellaneous Juggling 2

joddle23

A collection of practice clips from 2 months ago to last week. Lots of attempts at the 5 ball shower and 97531, with some clubs/rings thrown in. Enjoy! :) Hopefully juggling.tv doesn't decrease the video/audio quality like youtube does. Speaking of which, check out my other channel: www.youtube.com/joddle23

Or you can call it 'Thanks Juggle Art', but that doesn't look as cool. Just a practice vid from Tues 22 feb, so minimal editing. Most of the tricks are new with the diabolo, except the Vertax one where the diabolo goes out of the screen (I saw Will C do it at MJC) and the infinite suicide one. And a juggling TV first: Hamish juggling with up to 5 balls. I'm good to make a tutorial for any trick at all!

Adverse Reaction

Reeses2150

FINALLY! Alright, so we've got a lot of good stuff in here, like 8 catches of a 6 ring full reverse, 5 ring half shower, 5 ring full reverse double qualify, a 5 ball mills, 5 ring pancakes, 8 ring flash, 7 ring qualify, and a 4 box move I call "Impossible". Sorry about the massive wait, I got a job and didn't have a single place to practice any move that needed more than an 8 foot ceiling. That AND After trying to use Sony Vegas with my regular video editing style, I found it to be 300 times more work (exactly, not an estimate) than to just use Windows Movie Maker. Or course the problem is Movie Maker got corrupted on my computer somehow and doesn't want to work correctly anymore, so I had to mash this thing together in movie maker and vegas, and save it piece by piece before finally recombining it tonight. Thus, the editing isn't the BEST in the world, but I think it's good enough, I absolutely did NOT want to release this after the IJA. Once the next semester starts, I'm sure I'll be getting even BETTER f

Luke Burrage's Bounce Routine

lukeburrage

Luke Burrage presents a fast paced bounce juggling act using 3 to 7 balls... but he doesn't bounce off the floor. Instead Luke uses a specially constructed "table" to open up new and surprising juggling possibilities.

Invisible Man

GbH

Some time ago, a Disney cartoon called 'Recess' featured a yo-yo trick called 'Invisible Man'. As such, yo-yo players are often asked if they can do the trick. Unfortunately, the trick - which involves shuffling a pair of shoes with two yo-yos, doesn't actually work. However, the comment did give me an idea....
