I've been in grad school for 18 months now and it's been a difficult trip. Certainly more time consuming than undergrad but after the first semester I managed to find time to balance life out a bit more, resume volunteer work and circus training. The tricks in this video were mostly filmed over Thanksgiving and Christmas break and almost entirely involve backcrosses with clubs mainly because that's what I'm most excited about sharing at the moment. My knees gave me some problems several years ago and it's made me too paranoid about re-injuring them to do 360 tricks on an un-waxed floor. It's not any loss to the viewer as I haven't learned any new spin tricks in a long time. This is not to say I don't give them the effort, just that I haven't improved on them for a while. There are 360 tricks I could do in high school that I can't do much better these days despite the 6 years of practice that have passed. There are no balls in the video because I couldn't find a way to film them clearly and there is not

One of my favorite passing patterns, 4.5p 2.5p 3.5p, named "Holy Grail" by Will and Rhonda, with fourhanded siteswap 975. I passed this pattern in longer rounds with balls and rings, but I think the best club rounds was passing it with Caspar this winter in Pass Out X. I added the Prechacthis site so you can see how to start, and what the single jugglers are doing in every beat.

We took the last opportunity to finish our "project world record" today, before Cameron is returning to England on Thursday after staying in Göttingen for two months. Howdy folks, This is a video of me on Ringling Bros. Circus doing my 20 Cigar Box Slap Stack. I did this act for the entire 2001 tour. In Rings 2 and 3 there are 2 elephants, and in Ring 1 is me (I think I did very well of keeping my audience!). I was a studier of Friesch. and He is where I got this from. This was filmed in Knoxville Tn.on February 16th, 2001. It was filmed by my aunt Ann Hughes. She was visiting the show with my Mom and my aunt Susan. Ann passed away of cancer in 2006. Enjoy Larry

Panto gets it's name from the pass from A to B on beat 1, the club is quite close to the back of the manipulators head (He's behind you!).

On 3, juggler B catches the pass and walks on four count (rotating the positions anti-clockwise). 1. "cA": The manipulator carries a club to A. 2. "sA": The manipulator substitutes a pass from C to A. 3. "iA": The manipulator (M) intercepts a the pass from B to A. The juggler who was A is the new manipulator, and reads from the manipulator line. All the jugglers are relabeled and the new feeder starts counting the 3 passes. We start the pattern with an unmanipulated pass on beat 1 and on beat 2 with sA. Once the pattern is running the sA happens while M stands close to the Feeder. It is still a substitution, but Feedee C really has to pass to M.

conceptually, it's the same trick, except I hold the string with different hands. unwrapping stick passes inside of the string instead of outside, etc etc. With the ever classy "throw at the camera" at the end.
