Teku Contact - 38 - JJF2013 Free Performance

Teku

A little free performance I did at the JJF. I didn't have much time to make it but I tried to throw in some harder stuff than my championship routine to test it out. Gonna work on completely new tricks for next year and keep them out of videos so there's a bit more impact when seeing them, a lot of this stuff has been done to death now.

Teku Contact - 47 - On the Rebound

Teku

Got an iPhone 6, so decided to make the most of the slomo function to show some ideas which are hard to see at full speed. Video tends to flicker unless it is done with natural light, but at least you can see the tricks clearly.

A late night experiment. All made up that night so sketchy as hell but you get the idea.

Teku Contact - Salaryman Part 1

Teku

TURN HD ON! Salaryman - A full length video combining contact bodyrolling, finger stalls and mixed props (Renegade Design Lab). I've made plenty of videos up until now but I felt like creating something more substantial for a change. The idea came several months ago during a very low point at my job (basically a lack of anything to do), so I've used all that pent up energy and frustration and decided to create some new ideas and see if I could take contact juggling somewhere that maybe hasn't been explored before. Theres plenty more to be done but this is a first step towards where I would like to be with my juggling in the future. I'm not interested in asking people to pay to watch or for donations (it just wouldn't feel right), I simply ask that if you like what you see, please share it! As long as it gets around and (hopefully) inspires somebody then it has done it's job. Download link (720p) - http://ge.tt/4JV3o9L/v/0?c Hope you like it!

Teku Contact - Stackageddon - 2 - Grounded

Teku

Slight change of pace compared to part 1, focusing on tricks which involve use of the floor or other flat surfaces. There are quite a lot of variations but most tend to be pretty boring to look at, so I left a few other things out./nNext week, manipulation style stuff using on the hands!

Tennis Balls and Can - Tucson 2008

happysmurfday

Last summer I spent a few hours in the desert recording this for a collaborative video for Rec.Juggling in the summer of 2008, but unfortunately it was never used. This sequence was the genesis of another video I created (3 Balls, 1 Cup).

Tennis Can and Ball - NZ Combo #32

happysmurfday

I went up to a park in Highbury and recorded a combination of tricks, most of which I've recorded before, but never together. In the middle I do catch behind the back which came from working with Devon Howell. At the end is a shaker cup move inspired from watching Tuey Wilson.

Tennis Can: The Development of an Idea

happysmurfday

This is a collection of video I shot over the years as I developed a routine around the tennis ball and can./nHere's my recollection of the history of 3 tennis balls and a tennis can: On easter of 1989 I was bored and picked up a can of tennis balls thinking, "I can probably throw all of the balls out of the can and then go into a 4 pattern that includes the can." I quickly discovered some of the centrifugal properties of the can and began developing a routine at the Celebration Barn with people like Fritz Grobe and Steven Ragatz helping to critique my idea. At the same time in another part of the world, Scott Slesnick had discovered the same prop, but was doing different things with it. Neither of us knew of the other for years, but when we met at an IJA convention in Vegas one year, we pieced together the rumors we had heard of each other and decided that we had both come up with it independently and had been spreading it around the world over the years.

Tex Glanville - bottle & plate ca.1940?

bad1dobby

Australian variety performer Tex Glanville, showing his bottle & plate routine. Bottle & plate was one of the routines of the gentleman jugglers, and is mentioned in some of the old juggling books, but is not common today. Tex was an exceptional rope-spinner, as well as a juggler and slackwire artist. He also made home movies of other performers - 'Elimar the genius juggler', #832 on this site, is one of his. The date is an estimation.

The Black Room 4

Ed_Clark

Throw in tricks were a bit of a theme... as was Pingu. Also, we got 1 round of the first galloped manipulator pattern where everybody gets to be in every position. More galloped manipulator patterns (and more rounds) will follow. See also https://www.facebook.com/trickychicksco/videos/178834085959616/ for a gallop manipulation where the manipulator doesn't change, but still very cool. Another diabolo motion picture of mine, I hope you enjoy it! This video was created out of boredom, I filmed a lot of stuff without having a structure or something. But I think the result is still enjoyable :)

The Purse and the Plunger

Aaron

A mildly juggling related video but darn funny nonetheless. A villain steals a purse and is dealt with the only way a plumber/object manipulator can - using his tools as weapons.

I spent a very long in filming and editing this video.I tried to take care also about the background, weather and a clean execution of the tricks, not only the technical juggling level ;)/nSorry about the missing ring juggling, but weather/wind make it almost impossible for me to practise some hard ring juggling... I hope you like it anyway ;)
