"BraveHearth" - yet another hi-speed edit of 90 minutes worth of shots from the Fireplaces of Fife...This time at the Clubhouse of Charleton Golf Club, Colinsburgh./nMusic by Richard Young, who also featured on the last one, and who, together with 82 other friends, is up for "Best Album" in the 2013 British Blues Awards...(if you felt like helping out, you can cast your vote for them at http://www.britishbluesawards.co.uk/vote.htm - the album is "Jock's Juke Joint Vol 2")
Don't forget the Scottish Kendama Championships on June 1st/2nd at Colinsburgh Town Hall!

The tricklist for the 2008 British Kendama Championships, which was held at the BJC in March 2008. (#8 should be called "Maeuchi", not "Kajiya". "Kajiya" means to tap to the base cup. Thanks to asidematoi for the correction.)

In which Brook finally accepts Mark will never learn interesting siteswaps and they do a bunch of 1-count and 2-count. With apologies to the Highgate jugglers for my betrayal of ambidexterity!
Filmed in November 2016 when we didn't have to rehearse the passing routine for Camvention any more and enjoyed our freedom :)
Thanks to Mark for indulging me and filming, Danny for the terrible 4 way combo that took me over two years to get good enough to actually do (and some of the other ideas), and Jon for filming a little sequence with me.

An ambidextrous version of Chopabout, using the turn from Dolby Sörroundabout. The pattern is period 11, although for all 3 people to do each part with both hands takes 66 throws. We do just over an entire round of the pattern (77 throws).
In chopabout you do some substitutions, then roundabout out to allow a new juggler to be the manipulator. By turning out in the same way as in Dolby Sörroundabout you can switch to left handed chopabout - doing the switch on every turn gives the pattern shown Chopped Dolby.

i wasn't going to make another video but then I saw that BeeJay did the same trick as I did. As such, this is my 3rd and last video for the IJA Youtube Tutorial contest 2011. One more year we bring you our Collaboration Video. Spanish diabolo players from all around the country and even abroad team up for an almost 10 minutes video.
This year we pay tribute to Kukutza III (in Bilbao), an occupied cultural center that has been providing a mixed and wide cultural alternative for many years in a working-class neighbourhood. It's been evicted and next demolished in September 2011. http://kukutza.blogspot.com/
We also want to dedicate this to all the people suffering the consequences of a crisis and the ones taking the streets to protest. Don't give up; we can.

Elle peut se nicher dans les recoins de l’être, aux confins de sa danse,
de son équilibre.
On se sent alors plein d'une Légèreté cristalline, vibrante.

These are a nice varient of conveyor belts. First learn to do continuous. When the staff is falling off your last elbow, raise that elbow and bring your other elbow underneath to catch it by sort of hugging yourself. Give the staff a bit of a pop as it comes off so as to give yourself a little more time to catch it. When you've got that add the antispin by moving each point of the move to the antispin points (watch the video).

Another good move to start with, this is just a reverse elbow wrap followed by a forwards elbow wrap but in wall plane (spinning in front of you as if you were facing a wall). As with all contact, don't let go of the staf untill your hand is touching the contact point (in this case the outside of your elbow). This helps give a nice smooth contact roll. As the video shows this move can be done with hands apart (adding an extra beat) or together. It also leads nicly into pivots.
