Panda Balls

alexjones

A bluesy tour around the parks of York. Accompanied by some new 4-7 ball tricks that I have been meaning to film for absolutely ages! The balls used are (unsurprisingly) Panda Balls, made by George on his quest for the perfect juggling ball. They feel quite like Sportco Balls but look like pandas so are therefore inherently cooler! Music: 'Midnight' by William Elliott Whitmore

Dual Balance

peterbone

Two poles of different lengths balanced simultaneously on the head, as well as some other balancing tricks. This is know as a dual or twin inverted pendulum in control systems engineering. In the first 2 clips I use a long pole that is 4 times the length of the short pole. In the 3rd clip the long pole is only 3 times as long and is more difficult. The poles fit together in sections so that I can pack them in my bag. They're made from a cheap Argos wardrobe. The ball on the end of the long pole is mainly there to make the end more visible. I'm using rubber chair leg feet at the bottom end of the poles. Music is 'Heartbeats' by The Knife.

Some footage I shot in my classroom for the rec.juggling 4 Ball Collaboration Video. Many thanks to the SCHS Juggling Club President Alejandro Acosta for filming! More thanks to Steve Hogan for editing the footage together and putting in the music, which is Cissy Strut by the Meters.

I strayed away from my faster, electronica-based, style of editing to pursue something more relaxed in my last few videos. For my first personal video of the year (and my first ever solo video as director and not cameraman), I wanted to revisit this style with my recent progress in videography. I am very happy with the result. Filmed with a Canon T3i (600D), edited in Final Cut Pro X. Rainbow Siteswaps

Filthy999

The balls are programmed to be a certain colour determined by the vertical distance from my hand. The colour ranges from purple at the bottom up through blue, green, yellow, orange to red at the top of the highest throw - like a rainbow. It requires fairly precise timing to keep in sync with the programmed timing. Some siteswaps I do a good job with it; others are not quite as in sync. Music is Not Enough from the Gabriel and Dresden self titled album.

Over winter holidays I filmed some juggling. Some new ideas and older tricks. I think the complete footage is a little bit to long for one video. Therefore I made two videos out of it. That's the first (With my less favourite tricks).

Teku Contact - Stackageddon - 1 - The Basics?

Teku

Part one in a series of videos covering stack tricks and all the variations/uses I can think of. This video mostly covers rolling tricks and things I consider "standard". I plan to film and upload the each part every weekend for the next month or so, covering more manipulation style tricks, toss/cigar influenced tricks, and some bounce/ground based tricks.

Heart of a Champion

MichaelAKaras

This video was and still is one of my prouder accomplishments, mostly because it was released during a time when videos were downloaded and not streamed. They were also fewer and far between, and I think this is truly one of the first juggling music videos, in which the lyrics of the song were used to inspire content. At the time it was released, I won a lot of praise on rec.juggling and despite tons of videos released since then, people still send me e-mails requesting a link to this video. And honestly, I think "Heart of a Champion" will always feel like personal theme music to me. Enjoy and thanks to the wonderful community of jugglers, without whom it wouldn't be worth putting in all the effort to share something like this. ~Michael

Mainz Manipulation Mania - Part 2

jo_gazab

The 2nd episode of Mainz Manipulation Mania. This time you'll see the incredible Hagen, who studied at the circus-school "Etage" in Berlin before going to cirkus cirkoer (Stockholm) in 2003 where he developed most of his fine 3 club art showed in this video. He then broke his leg and decided to come back to Germany. From 2005 to 2006, together with Paul Lind, he created some nice 3 ball stuff. Hagen now lives in Frankfurt and teaches juggling and artistry at the Clownsschule Mainz. juggling: hagen buechner music: k* from the wired opening song "ah ah ah" performed by: ernst neger (famous folk singer from mainz) editing: me may 2009 listen to more music by k* from the wired at http://www.myspace.com/kfromthewired
