Primary yo-yos used in the demonstration by Luke Renner were created by: Russell, Playmaxx, Tom Kuhn, Monarch and includes a generic red & yellow plastic yo-yo (cameos by Hummingbird & Duncan). Studio footage filmed by Andrew Gomez in Northwest New Mexico 12/30/09 and footage filmed by Steve Renner 1/3/10. Yo-yo topic covered in this instructional video is the different types of primary yo-yo shapes. The three covered are traditional, slimline/midline/Russell and butterfly yo-yos. Includes the a possible origin of the butterfly yo-yo. This is the second of a two part series. Note: The Russell shape is included with the slimline/midline group; however this shape is considered unique enough to have its own category. Music is a public domain jazz loop by Florian.

This is my summer 2010 juggling video. Unlike my last one, this thing is just juggling, none of those other distractions. The summer went a little off plan and for that reason I didn't get to juggle nearly as much as I had intended to. /nMy biggest problem was that I decided I was going to run 50 miles on August 1st. So all through June and July I was running a lot. . . like way more than you should, about 80 to 100 miles a week. Most every day I was juggling for a few hours, then running for a few hours, then studying for a few hours, then eating for a while. It turns out that it's bad for your body to do that. I lost 15 lbs in 4 weeks while I was eating 10,000 calories a day. As a result I wound up really immune compromised and I got shingles in late July. Shingles in very painful so I had to stop running and at that point I gained about a pound a day for almost 2 weeks. For those of you who have never experienced rapid weight fluctuations, they suck. For weeks after that I was sore and tired fo

An idea I had ages ago was to make a rolling video, and nearly a full year later and after setting up my apparatus last night, spending literally all night until 7AM screwing around with tricks on it, I have an awesome new video to show off. I posted this in support of the Contact Juggling community. I haven't made a pure contact video in a while and I thought it was necessary. Fushigi and its ridiculous marketing/business tactics have taken a lot away from the contact juggling community recently. Things like respect, respect for the fact that we spend years on this stuff. I personally have lots of hard work, study, creativity (i like to think so), and sometimes pain (see, hard work) into this activity. I know many others have too, and I don't like seeing my friend upset over this attempted re-branding and simplification of our art/whatever./nSo I just wanted to say I am not going to admit defeat to this B.S. I'm still going to progress and do what I like and so should everyone else. I met up with Alex for a juggling session. We both beat our 11 ball personal bests. Here's what happened at the end of the video: Basically Alex became the first person to juggle 11 balls with 23 catches. I saw the whole thing and it looked amazing (very clean). We thought we'd captured it with both our camcorders but unfortunately one camera wasn't recording and the other had fallen over and was pointing at the sky!
