I strayed away from my faster, electronica-based, style of editing to pursue something more relaxed in my last few videos.
For my first personal video of the year (and my first ever solo video as director and not cameraman), I wanted to revisit this style with my recent progress in videography.
I am very happy with the result.
Filmed with a Canon T3i (600D), edited in Final Cut Pro X.

"The Hop" - Part 4 of the Pascal's Triangle (Green Triangle Yo-Yo Sequence). This is a fun move to "hop" into a Green Triangle mount. From the film "European Nights" (basically a compilation of nightclub acts). 'Monsewer' Eddie Gray and partner juggling clubs in comical fashion, with interruptions from a third man.
The narrator calls the act "The Grays", and according to Wikipedia Eddie's brother Danny was also a juggler, so it may be him.

2 young boys from Beijing (Peking) Acrobatic Troupe juggling china jars/pots at 10th Cirque de Demain 1987. Gold medal.
Jar juggling is a traditional Chinese acrobatic form, but is more commonly done as a solo act. Doing it in duo opens up lots of possibilities.

Trick tips: 1) Practice each individual hand before combining the trick. 2) Use a fixed axle. 3) There is no easy way to master this trick other than practicing everyday. Special thanks to Dale!
