4 ball dunk

NickJamesson

Due to the closure of JTV, I am uploading some of my old clips from 2014-2015 that never made it into a video. This is a 4 ball bounced fountain while jogging directly into a dunk on the basketball hoop. Not sure if I've still got the hops.

I Still Juggle I Swear

Reeses2150

After all these years. Holy crap. it's been 8 YEARS since Kinetic Potential, and now, FINALLY I've gone and had the time and will to make juggling music video number 22. Good god life can suck sometimes keeping you away from doing awesome things on video for the internet heh. Though really, it's my own fault. The whole idea of the big music video series is that I would only do my absolute best tricks in them, and really only make new ones when I have a bunch of new personal bests to put in. Problem is, I hit my peak and plateaued with that 6 ring flat front qualify in the last vid, and so I feel like making another video is unjustified cause it's gonna have the same if not worse tricks in it. Welp, it's reflection of my current abilities since then, sooooo, guess it's better to showcase my decline/plateau than to be hidden forever XD

TOM OF CIRCUS

Samuli

'Is it some sort of gay leather circus from Finland' -A. Berry/nTOM OF CIRCUS ‘refuge and liberation in art!’ In our work we have no statements to make as we already know how the world lies. We are thinking only about the image itself, hidden, but then destroyed. ‘Tom Of Circus’ is not conversation piece, it is masturbation piece that produces a strong respect for our witty creation./nOhjaus: Rauli Katajavuori Valosuunnittelu: Vespa Laine Puvustus: Laura Sariola Esiintyjät: Lauri Koskinen, Rauli Katajavuori, Matti Koskela, Teemu Riihelä/n‘Sirkus Supiaisen Tom of Circus -esitys on mitä kiinnostavinta nykysirkustaidetta. Se ei asetu valtavirtaisen nykysirkuksen pirtaan vaan pikemmin se kommentoi ja polemisoi joitakin nykysirkuksen ominaisia piirteitä ja asetelmia. Some of the patterns from a trip that took place in October./nIt was decided that each of the patterns that is new should also go up as a pattern video and that is where you will find the notation. Here we have only the names. When the pattern videos go up I shall update this description to include the links.

Monterrey Jam feat. Cinthia Buitrón “La Flaka”

lucasadverse

As a continuation to my “jam” video series, I was able to collab with another prominent Mexican juggler during my study abroad experience in Mexico. This time I have a female juggler for the first time in this series, and I am very honoured that this juggler is La Flaka. La Flaka is known for being the first (or only) juggler in the history to explore the top-of-the-head balance in the midst of tricks. Before her, jugglers had done patterns while holding that club balance, but no one was ever able to actually integrate the top-of-the-head balance with different siteswaps and body rolls. After hanging out with the Unicirclo Laguna crew in Monterrey for a week, I noticed the potential for modern passing tricks with her and I decided to visit them once again in order to record this video. Thank you Tinoco, Flaka and Leonardo Icaza for making this possible and for being extremely kind and welcoming! Full video with better quality and more details on YouTube!

I am the very model of a Modern British Juggler

MatthewTiffany

I am the very model of a modern British juggler, Experienced as thrower, catcher, balancer and spinner-er I know the lazy juggler and I quote the fights historical The loses of Jon peat to brook in order categorical. I’m very well acquainted too with matters mathematical I understand notations both the siteswap and beatmap-able About the other props you ask I’m teeming with a lot of news (hhhmmmm, lot of news, that’s a tough one) With many cheerful facts about what Kendama the Void will use. I’m very good at throwing high like DB97531 I know the algorithms and find rubix cube a lot of fun In short in matters thrower, catcher, balancer and spinner-er I am the very model of a modern British juggler. I know our mythic history Vid Warren in the renegade I saw Tom Derricks rosie cheeks those memories will never fade Out camping in the freezing cold it always seems to smell of grass I even read Jay Linn’s great post about that night with Chris passé passe.

Ambled 3

Ed_Clark

Scrambled 3 with an extra club. Note that when C would do L:4x, R:2, R:4p in other ambled patterns to switch sides, here the necessity to do two right hands in a row is solved diferently L:3, R:5px, R:2. The pass is substituted, but it is a 5px which is why the manipulator has it for so long that they have to do a self and intercept before they deliver the 5px

Dolby 7.1 Tutorial

Ed_Clark

Dolby 7.1 is the latest in the series of patterns that have manipulation similar to the classic Dolby Söround http://juggling.tv/1742 In this new pattern, we add a club to the Dolby 5.1 pattern, first shown http://juggling.tv/16656 Dolby 5.1, Dolby 5.2 and Dolby 7.1 were all composed together as a set. Seeing as Dolby 7.1 is another step up in the difficulty of manipulator patterns I've not gone with a standard pattern video, but instead added some training patterns - like a workshop. Workshop tips: 1. Keep the tempo slow when you are throwing the heffs - you are controlling the pattern speed. 2. The manipulation needs to be a little faster than you might do it in Dolby 5.1, as the tempo is set by the dwell+height of the heffs. Slow manipulation can introduce timing problems for catching the 4p4p. 3. Heffs (4) and double passes (4p) must be the same height in order to keep good timing. 4. The pattern is synchronous.

Dropabout

Ed_Clark

corrected notation Interception line changes are immediate - the juggler and manipulator swap line before the next beat. So, even if it is a 1 beat intercept with a line instruction after it, the juggler and manipulator change lines first, then read the line change instruction afterwards. They follow both instructions, but the order is important. So if a manipulator line showed at the end of the line: iB => M the juggler who was B up until the last instruction becomes M because of the intercept (iB) and then they stay M because of the (=> M).
