This was supposed to be my "one year of juggling" video but since university didn't allow me to practice and record on time, some months have passed.

In case you are wondering why everything's so Japanese about the video, the reason is because we wanted to convey the message that we are very influenced by their juggling in a different way. The main idea of the video is not to copy tricks from Japanese people, but to show variations and tricks that we made based on their tricks. The second part of the video is coming soon and won't have Japan as a theme. Thanks so much for watching!

I know the title sounds a bit corny but why not use such a cool term? This is a compilation of me performing part of the tricks I've come up with in the last 3 to 4 months. The main purposes of this video are to introduce new concepts and share ideas of tricks and connections between them so please, don't criticise my lack of symmetry or the lack of endurance because I'm pretty aware of it.

This is the third part of my "jam" series which consists of original passing tricks with jugglers who have a similar style to mine. Jorge Vilchis is the person who motivated me to start juggling clubs and that’s why he’s the perfect fit for this series. Normally I'm not a fan of people posting their artistic research and normally I would never post anything that wasn't carefully edited. I have no idea why I'm posting this or who would find it interesting but I've been working on a new act and going through old video clips looking for forgotten ideas. This is literally 3:58 of pure improv. One late night, one shot, one song, an empty room, lot of caffeine, a little juggling and a few emotions. There are drops. There are moments that are self-indulgent and overdone. Technical jugglers you will not like this. You guys that are interested in pure process may find it interesting.

Here's the way computers use the state-space to generate transition sequences ... and why that way doesn't work for people! Plus, there's a human-based way if you know of or can come up with a trick that has states in common with the two tricks you wish to transition between. /nPlease note that even if tricks have different levels of excitation, but nevertheless share states with one another, you can just go from the middle of one trick to the middle of the other (or wherever the tricks share the common state), without any "extra" throws.

For me, the concept of a "Look Mum I made a juggling video" refers to a video that is made, not to introduce any new ideas to the juggling community, but rather made because it seems like the thing to do. That is why this film is entitled 'Dave's "Look Mum I Made A Juggling Video" Video'. This movie is intended as a parody on the "Look Mum" video genre. You probably won't learn any new tricks, but hopefully you'll have a good laugh. It should also be noted that this video features neither my true juggling potential nor my true personality. They are both facets of a character that I created for this movie. Enjoy.
