Teku

Slight change of pace compared to part 1, focusing on tricks which involve use of the floor or other flat surfaces. There are quite a lot of variations but most tend to be pretty boring to look at, so I left a few other things out./nNext week, manipulation style stuff using on the hands!

7 Ball 5up 360

tomjuggles

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAl9iiNOWwc Here it finally is: my biggest trick!! This has been my goal for more than 2 years now. It might be not the cleanest execution, but i simply wanted to have a 7ball 5up on video before EJC 2011 as announced in the last video. And i'm glad I was lucky enough to hit this one^^ http://juggling.tv/2032 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4k9Eu3JG9OU

Juggletween 2

LP

Juggletween2 is a second attempt at an experiment in distributed video production. The idea was to get groups of people from around the world (We managed USA, Australia, Finland, Japan and the UK this year), all working together to produce a juggling video... but without any of them knowing what any of the others were doing, or even who was involved!

Senor Weñces ventriloquism & juggling on Ed Sullivan Show

bad1dobby

Senor Wences was a brilliant ventriloquist. This is one of his many appearances on the Ed Sullivan Show - he appeared on the show 23 times over its long life. Juggling was part of his act, and there are lots of clips online showing him doing the tray spinning, but this one contains more juggling than I've seen in any other clip. He lived to age 103, and was still performing (in Sugar Babies) at the age of 90!

DarthDiaboloMan

3d4c #2 (3 diabolos 4 clips number 2). Actually you could also say 3d6c, it depends on how you count. These tricks aren't the newest, but I personally find that they are pretty cool and good looking. (They are also pretty hard ^^.) hope you like it ;). Oh yea one more thing, I am sorry for the bad line transition during the cloning clip, even after 1 hour of looking for the effect to make it gone I couldn't figure out what I need to do, so if anyone of you guys knows how this works for Premiere Elements, please tell me :)

Tricks With Hats: Sweavo's Hatstand

TricksWithHats

The hatstand made its debut at chocfest 7, where I was compering. After a period of prototyping and refining, I built the version that worked. I demoed this a couple of times then it broke. I replaced the elastic and set it up for the big day, used it on stage and it worked, then broke next time I used it. Be prepared to spend significant tinkering time in between uses, and for frequent breakdowns. That said, it's never let me down when I've needed it. All in all I've found it a great way to get chicks[1], if you don't count the long evenings spent honing the design and strewing the house with geeky construction equipment, and the fact you'll be laughed out of most nightclubs if you go in wearing a topper. But on stage it works, and it has drawn admiring glances from fellow jugglers and even won us a bag full of croissants on one occasion. Biljauer (young) - in circus ring

bad1dobby

Evgeni Biljauer (b. 1947) was one of the 3 top Russian solo jugglers in the latter part of the 20th Century. This clip is from a TV special called The Great Russian Circus Spectacular. I don't know the actual date, but his age (and clothes) put it in the early 1970s. 5 clubs; 4 clubs & ball; 3 large balls; 8 rings with a balance; 3 clubs This is the same clip as JTV#163, only in colour.

I thought of the title all by myself years ago but it got shelved into the cold dark reaches of my brain until I felt I had enough tricks to warrant its use. Special thanks to Yuki Ituda and Tao Wei for inspiring me to explore the possibilities of tossing style.

Grad School 1

ultimatewannabe

I've been in grad school for 18 months now and it's been a difficult trip. Certainly more time consuming than undergrad but after the first semester I managed to find time to balance life out a bit more, resume volunteer work and circus training. The tricks in this video were mostly filmed over Thanksgiving and Christmas break and almost entirely involve backcrosses with clubs mainly because that's what I'm most excited about sharing at the moment. My knees gave me some problems several years ago and it's made me too paranoid about re-injuring them to do 360 tricks on an un-waxed floor. It's not any loss to the viewer as I haven't learned any new spin tricks in a long time. This is not to say I don't give them the effort, just that I haven't improved on them for a while. There are 360 tricks I could do in high school that I can't do much better these days despite the 6 years of practice that have passed. There are no balls in the video because I couldn't find a way to film them clearly and there is not

Tricks With Hats: Hat Spinning - Basic Spin

TricksWithHats

Hold the hat by the brim with your left hand so that the crown of the hat is facing away from you. Take the stick in your right hand. With a flick of your wrist, throw the hat up slightly so that it starts spinning anti-clockwise. As the hat descends, hit the brim with the stick slightly to the right of center, such that the stick curves slightly upwards and outwards. This will cause the hat to spin as it rises into the air. As it descends again, repeat the hitting action. The idea of the basic spin is to keep the hat in the air by hitting it repeatedly with the stick in this manner. I find it helps if you look at the top portion of the inside of the hat. Adjusting the spin rate and direction: Hitting the hat nearer the center will give you a slower spin and more height, nearer the edge will give you a faster spin but less height. Obviously striking the left side of the brim will reverse the spin and cause the hat to go clockwise. From the TricksWithHats archive
