I changed up my editing style for this video after the failure of Adverse Reaction, and started this video by finding the best music FIRST, then editing the video according to the music. This is the first of the "Cate Emily" videos. I give the title Cate Emily to videos that I feel make a statement about me. In other words something more serious than a quick practice video. I actually never even called myself "Cate Emily" until I made this video, but it started to stick, so I went with it...
The title is true by the way, I went off my medication (anti-depressants actually, but Ritalin is more catchy) and made this video in a four day burst of caffeine/ADD fueled burst of mania. Bet you didn't know that, huh?

FINALLY! Alright, so we've got a lot of good stuff in here, like 8 catches of a 6 ring full reverse, 5 ring half shower, 5 ring full reverse double qualify, a 5 ball mills, 5 ring pancakes, 8 ring flash, 7 ring qualify, and a 4 box move I call "Impossible".
Sorry about the massive wait, I got a job and didn't have a single place to practice any move that needed more than an 8 foot ceiling. That AND After trying to use Sony Vegas with my regular video editing style, I found it to be 300 times more work (exactly, not an estimate) than to just use Windows Movie Maker. Or course the problem is Movie Maker got corrupted on my computer somehow and doesn't want to work correctly anymore, so I had to mash this thing together in movie maker and vegas, and save it piece by piece before finally recombining it tonight. Thus, the editing isn't the BEST in the world, but I think it's good enough, I absolutely did NOT want to release this after the IJA. Once the next semester starts, I'm sure I'll be getting even BETTER f

New ideas, new props, new life.
Had the idea for a long time to mix contact with other props (in particular the RDL props), so I gave myself a challenge of trying to come up with some mini routines over the summer. Still in the early stages but its somewhere I want to look into more.
Going to live in Japan permanantly from the 30th so its a kind of goodbye UK/home vid. After a very long wait its time to start a new life.

Alex and I do a sequence where the 3 green clubs are isolated in 4 different patterns.
Start off with 7-club 3-count with the passes green.
Then do 8677867 with the passes as green.
Then 978 versus 972 with double passes as green.
Then 551 popcorn (a2a67) versus 5 count popcorn with trelfs as green.
Then back to 7 club 3-count.
As they are all ground state, the first 2 switches just work, and doing:
966|7867867 for the first
7867867|978972 for the second
preserves the colours.
For the third, to keep the colours we did three transition throws:
978972|867|a66a7a6267
For the fourth transition, to keep the colours we did:
a66a7a6267a66a7|b6266|966

Well this is a long video, mostly because of the intro though. i don't want to spoil anything in the description...but I have to in the tricks list, so get to at least like a minute in before reading this.
Like I said, I'm 2 days late, but that's because I was hanging out with the .org people on the 10th, and didn't get home until 4:00 on the 11th, and I had work at 5. Then the next day I wasn't home at all. So yea, I'm late, but I didn't use those late days to get more practice in.
When i get into the ball juggling, I've only been doing that for a little less then a week, so hopefully by next month I can make it consistent. Now for the spoilers:

I splurged and got myself a pill kendama recently, and after the first hour going "what the hell do i do with this thing besides spacewalks and earth turns?" i started to discover things, and then I stepped out in my awesome lookin tie and beneath the high tension power lines, I recorded THIS. There are no prerequisites for learning headrolls, grab a ball and start practicing those stalls from day one./nStep 1 is semi-optional./nHead dents WILL occur, they are temporary and should be encouraged/nGood luck, these require patience but they are so so so worth it. Spirit Bomb Yo-Yo Trick Instructional Video demonstrated by Luke Renner. Note: this video uses a non-breakaway mount. The breakaway is the standard throw for the trick. If you're learning tricks for a sports ladder contest practice the breakaway toss to start the trick the other steps are the same. The forward pass throw used in this demonstration gives extra momentum and spin time for completing the trick. The audio is intentionally left out on this video.
Yo-Yo used in the demo is a Yoyofactory Speed Dial. Footage shot in Northwest New Mexico on 8/28/10 by Filmmakers George Thomas and Thomas LaRue. Filmed just after sunset on a cloudy day near Cottesloe Beach in Perth. The music is Sunset Juggling by David Edwards (my uncle).
The creature in the background is some sort of sea lion and is visible from the start until 2:30 and then very briefly around 4:22.
The balls are programmable Ultimate Globalls which were synchronized with the timing of the tricks.

My first official exclusive juggling.tv video because we all know how youtube can be./nWell, this was supposed to be more of a practice video to showcase what I've been working on etc. There are a few fun clips though. I didn't get a chance to get as many cool shots as I wanted but the focus was supposed to be on the juggling more for this one anyways. Lots of penguin tricks (big surprise). I might start working on other 3 ball stuff for a while since change is sometimes a good thing... or so I've heard. So yeah, any advice, trick requests and whatnot are always welcome.

Where is he going? What is he waiting for?/n2Travel is based on the lonelyness of a traveller and how he deals with this. To make the waiting more comfortable a juggler picks up his clubs.
But isn’t it nice to have someone there to watch you?
The juggler uses everything he is carrying to create a fellow traveler, a friend.
The quest has started and leeds to a poetic play with clubs, suitcase and pieces of clothes.

I'm back if anyone remembers me. I took a year long hiatus cause of school, other hobbies but mainly because I lost interest. After coming on randomly and watching some videos a little while back I was inspired to start diaboloing again (the limits of diabolos have been pushed a ridiculous amount this past year...). So this vid is just a coming back vid of some stuff from the past couple days of practice that I filmed. I also threw in some stuff that I've learned over the past year at the end of the video.
