i wasn't going to make another video but then I saw that BeeJay did the same trick as I did. As such, this is my 3rd and last video for the IJA Youtube Tutorial contest 2011. We, The Poetic Motion Machine, juggled for hours one night, well many nights really, but this night we recorded some of it. Those juggling: Eli, Jesse the Sloth, Holly, and StevenWeven. So here is a very experimental juggling video; definately some moments of glory and inspiration.

I went up to a park in Highbury and recorded a combination of tricks, most of which I've recorded before, but never together. In the middle I do catch behind the back which came from working with Devon Howell. At the end is a shaker cup move inspired from watching Tuey Wilson.

Learn to juggle 3 balls with Niels Duinker. Juggling is a lot of fun. The basic of juggling is easy to learn. In this tutorial you will learn the 3-ball cascade. The cascade is the basic juggling trick for beginning jugglers. The balls get thrown from the left to right hand and back again. Your hands move alternately. After watching this video you will be juggling in about one hour.

In case you are wondering why everything's so Japanese about the video, the reason is because we wanted to convey the message that we are very influenced by their juggling in a different way. The main idea of the video is not to copy tricks from Japanese people, but to show variations and tricks that we made based on their tricks. The second part of the video is coming soon and won't have Japan as a theme. Thanks so much for watching!

Some highlights of the 2011 Isla Vista festival and post-fest juggling in Lancaster, CA and at Vasquez Rocks. The other jugglers were Jonathan Redman, Jennifer Szabo, Beejay Joyer, Matthew Thornley, Steve (TheGoHeads), another guy who was also good at teaching that 2/3 count passing pattern, Rhonda and Will, and featuring an aggressive beast-woman who collects video of the people she follows around while needlessly and sweatily shouting "harassment".

Chongqing Troupe duo bowl kicking on rola bola. 18th Cirque de Demain 1995. Silver medal.
Not actually bowl-kicking as such, more bowl-flicking really. But it's a variant of the classic Chinese bowl-kicking act which is usually performed on unicycles.
