Dual Balance

peterbone

Two poles of different lengths balanced simultaneously on the head, as well as some other balancing tricks. This is know as a dual or twin inverted pendulum in control systems engineering. In the first 2 clips I use a long pole that is 4 times the length of the short pole. In the 3rd clip the long pole is only 3 times as long and is more difficult. The poles fit together in sections so that I can pack them in my bag. They're made from a cheap Argos wardrobe. The ball on the end of the long pole is mainly there to make the end more visible. I'm using rubber chair leg feet at the bottom end of the poles. Music is 'Heartbeats' by The Knife.

10 Years of Not Juggling - Full Resolution

btiemann

I took a 10-year break from juggling, but am getting back into it. Here is my first collage. Music is Comets Over Flatland (15) by R. Winchester. It is written in 15-tone equal temperament, not the otherwise universal 12-tone equal temperament of western music. Filmed in late 2009. 0:04: 4: 61616 0:19: 5: ([4,4x],2)* 0:29: 7: ([6,6x],2)* 0:37: 4: 7161616 0:51: 5: 75751, 77771707771716661*, then 95551 a few times. * Trick was "spontaneous." 1:21: 5: 66661 1:31: 8: (8,8), 97, 8, (8x,8x) flashes 1:56: 5: 91 2:07: 6: 99919191 2:14: 8: 999999990 and 99999991 flashes 2:23: 9: 9 (9 catches then 11 catches) 2:40: 10: a (11 catches, Garfield Finish) 2:48: 5: 88171717 3:00: 6: 8844 3:07: 6: 868671 3:15: 6: b66661 3:23: 4: 80 (Actually, 6: 8[22]) 3:36: 6: 889191 (big brother of 6671) 3:42: 6: 78888171 3:51: 6: 8888181 4:00: 7: 88888817 4:05: 8: 97 4:11: 7: 8888881 4:20: 8: (8,8) (18 catches) 4:27: 7: 888891 - this is a really neat trick 4:32: 8: 8 (21 catches) 4:40: 10: a (17 throws, 10 drops)

I strayed away from my faster, electronica-based, style of editing to pursue something more relaxed in my last few videos. For my first personal video of the year (and my first ever solo video as director and not cameraman), I wanted to revisit this style with my recent progress in videography. I am very happy with the result. Filmed with a Canon T3i (600D), edited in Final Cut Pro X. Music: "eight" by Emotional Joystick Also available at: https://vimeo.com/40689445 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwVPE4wq3ds

Abandoning Burning Ships

Timaeschulze

Presented by: Vincent Janisch & Tim Schulze You just listened to: Errand Boy & El Ten Eleven & Lali Puna Okay guys, here it goes: We DON'T WANT TO WRITE A NOVEL, but on our last trip to LA-LA-LAND, we were faced by two guys called M.A.L.T.E. and MR. NOVEMBER. Both of them just came back from a journey to OHIO and invited us to barbecue some MARSHMALLOWS. After enjoying this delicious meal, the four of us decided to hit the TEXAS ROAD. We stopped at a small restaurant and ordered burgers with DOUBLE CHEESE AND NUGGETS. And now, HOLD ON TIGHT! Revitalized by this well prepared meal, our companions started to philosophize about BAD HABITS and BEing SHARPE. Quite cofused as we were, we didn't understand a word they were saying. They continued explaining to us that there were only a few decisions in life you really have to make : Choose carefully, if don't pick the right options you will end up having INTEGRAL ERRORS. Always remember: A.liens M.ight C.apture B.ad B.oys!

Contactjuggling.org Collaboration Video 2012

CasualArcane

*Note: Polilop is a typo. The artists name is actually PiloliP* Contact Juggling, an ancient art recently codified and popularized by Michael Moschen, is as indefinable as it is magical. Rather than try to describe it, the community of ContactJuggling.org began this project to show you how each of us sees Contact Juggling. Whether dance, juggling, mime, or magic (or perhaps all four or none at all), this video showcases years of hard work by artists across four continents, each bound together by a common interest but all unique in their study. Edited by Riel Green and Sennyo of Casual Arcane (Casualarcane.com) All music by Module (Modulemodule.com) Video by Contactjuggling.org and contact jugglers around the world! Sean McKinney Freestyle Competition 2007 - David Kha

happysmurfday

When I arrived at the Pacific Northwest Juggling Convention in Corvallis I had no intentions of entering any competitions. Reluctantly I agreed to participate, not really knowing who Sean McKinney was. After watching the other performers, I was sure I didn't win and went up to the Balcony to watch the rest of the show. They announced me as the winner just as I had come down for a drink of water. They gave me the coolest juggling trophy I've ever seen! Since then I've done my homework on McKinney and spent some time with the people who knew him and decided I probably was the right person for this particular competition.

Hot Teen On Cam

sean_

Yes, it's a diabolo video, despite the title! (all is explained in the video)! Nev, Sean and Ginger Tom hang out by a canal, and strut. Thanks Void, the story behind the name. I released a video before this called 'dropitlikeitshot' named after a bit of local grafiti. It got a stupid amount of youtube hits (217,960 as I write this), It's not that great a video. There was an opinion that that was just down to the title hence releasing 'hot teen on cam - an experiment on boosting youtube views'
