When I arrived at the Pacific Northwest Juggling Convention in Corvallis I had no intentions of entering any competitions. Reluctantly I agreed to participate, not really knowing who Sean McKinney was. After watching the other performers, I was sure I didn't win and went up to the Balcony to watch the rest of the show. They announced me as the winner just as I had come down for a drink of water. They gave me the coolest juggling trophy I've ever seen! Since then I've done my homework on McKinney and spent some time with the people who knew him and decided I probably was the right person for this particular competition.

I met up with Alex for a juggling session. We both beat our 11 ball personal bests. Here's what happened at the end of the video: Basically Alex became the first person to juggle 11 balls with 23 catches. I saw the whole thing and it looked amazing (very clean). We thought we'd captured it with both our camcorders but unfortunately one camera wasn't recording and the other had fallen over and was pointing at the sky!

I went to California in 2003 with my juggling partner, the multi-talented Kerry Silson. He's a musician, acrobat and horseback performer as well as juggler. The original tapes of this footage were eaten by a JVC camcorder (beware!) and the backups were destroyed by two Macintosh iBook computers working in separate countries. Hope this file (from a Video CD) is watchable.

This video is a short showcase of some of the results of months of research in ring manipulation. The video was shot in just a few short hours with a mobile phone camera and without the aid of a camera man but was expertly edited by Hannah Martin. Video number 19! The second video made entirely with Vegas, and definitely worth the change I think. I changed up my editing style for this video after the failure of Adverse Reaction, and started this video by finding the best music FIRST, then editing the video according to the music. The change definitely helps I think. Enjoy!
