A fun video of spring break, nothing to serious or full of effort but some nice tricks nonetheless. Most of the footage is from my trip to Oakland where I got to juggle with Shawn, Kyle and the rest of the people at the Vulcan and the Vagabond Ballroom. Hurray for nudists and juggling, two things that go oh so well together.
The beard section in the middle is to make Sondre happy or disturbed depending on how he takes it.

This is a test video by Mike Sharkey for the Canon 550d T2i. No post filters used, all effects done in-camera (other than ramping).
He wanted me to do some tricks for him, so he could try the slowmo and other cool features. I'm terribly out of practice, so there's nothing new trick wise. The quality is pretty amazing though!

Or you can call it 'Thanks Juggle Art', but that doesn't look as cool.
Just a practice vid from Tues 22 feb, so minimal editing. Most of the tricks are new with the diabolo, except the Vertax one where the diabolo goes out of the screen (I saw Will C do it at MJC) and the infinite suicide one. And a juggling TV first: Hamish juggling with up to 5 balls.
I'm good to make a tutorial for any trick at all!

This is a tutorial someone requested I make. It is also one of my entries into the International Jugglers' Association Tutorial Competition.
This tutorial is designed to help you learn 5 ball mills mess step by step, catch by catch. If you find the constant pauses annoying, you can simply skip to the slow motion parts and learn the trick that way. Either way is useful!

Well this is a long video, mostly because of the intro though. i don't want to spoil anything in the description...but I have to in the tricks list, so get to at least like a minute in before reading this.
Like I said, I'm 2 days late, but that's because I was hanging out with the .org people on the 10th, and didn't get home until 4:00 on the 11th, and I had work at 5. Then the next day I wasn't home at all. So yea, I'm late, but I didn't use those late days to get more practice in.
When i get into the ball juggling, I've only been doing that for a little less then a week, so hopefully by next month I can make it consistent. Now for the spoilers:
3 Clubs: Invincible by Adelita's Way
3:15 - First double throw
4:18 - Constant under arm throws with the same club
4:23 - Chops
4:36 - Multiplex start
4:41 - Reverse chops
4:50 - Reverse cascade
4:56 - Double starting throw
5:06 - Double cascade
5:26 - Mill's mess
5:33 - Flat spin start
5:37 - Green club thrown with an opposite spin

This is a family of tricks that are part cascade or fountain, and part shower or pseudoshower, which are good tricks for learning numbers juggling. They are stepping stones between the easier tricks you can do, and target numbers trick you wish to do.
Pseudoshower?! Twin to the shower, it has even high throws and odd period, instead of odd high throws and even period.
The four families of hybrids are, the cascade-shower, the cascade-pseudoshower, the fountain-shower, and the fountain-pseudoshower.
The inf. pseudoshower 3: 1818181 could have been added to the lower right section, on top.
I like all of these tricks, but haven't seen them described this way before.
I also performed 8888181 and 8888881 in Ten Years of Not Juggling, shown on the board. In that film I also performed 6: 99919191, and 5: 88171717, 6: 88881717, 7: 88888817, and also 6: 889191, and 7: 888891, which differ in having shower throws higher than the fountain throws.

A short guide to how to clean and look after your Stainless Steel ball bearing from a Yo-Yo.
You will need:
Ball bearing Yo-Yo
Lighter fluid
YoYoJam Lube (thin or thick)
Tweezers
Glass Jar
Pliers/bearing removal tool
Cloth/Tissue
Ceramic bearings should not be cleaned in the way described in the video.

Please note that steps in this guide can be dangerous and that following instructions from this video are taken at your own risk. Children should enrol the help of a responsible adult. Lighter fluid is highly flammable, gives off dangerous fumes and should be disposed of carefully as it is bad for the environment.
If not followed correctly this tutorial can result in breaking the bearing or Yo-Yo.
