A circus performance my friend and I performed in circus class last term. We have still yet to perform it to an audience this term.
The basci story line is that I (the kid with blonde hair starting on stage) am doing some diabolo tricks. My friend (dark haired guy) walks on and sees me. He trys to show me up by juggling but fails (on purpose). I show him up again, and he steals my diabolo (twice) then he grabs some staffs. We fight, he "beats me", but then I get pu and finish him with the diabolo and do a final trick. ENJOY! :DDD/nP.S. The reason I ran off stage quickly was to grab a diabolo which rolled off stage. Sorry for the 2 fails (diabolo ones).

Hope you enjoy the video. Also, please spare me the "unicycle" suggestion comments or "you should have done a 3 ball cascade" while riding no-handed comments. If you don't know anything about triathlons, then those comments are very naive, because you have no idea what a race like this entails. I spent 10 months training, researching, and fine tuning what works. Until you actually get out there and see what "works" then try to understand that what looks good on paper, doesn't always translate into good practice. Enjoy! -Joe

Variations on the slam and shuffle juggling tricks. Filmed in the Gene Leahy Mall in Omaha, Nebraska. Slam variations with 3 balls, 4 balls and 3 clubs. Many tricks are original. Other tricks are inspired by Murakami, Dan Barron, Chris Hodge, Nick Laffey and Michael Falkov. Look out for same hand slams, and under arm slams, and 4 ball slam variations. These are a nice varient of conveyor belts. First learn to do continuous. When the staff is falling off your last elbow, raise that elbow and bring your other elbow underneath to catch it by sort of hugging yourself. Give the staff a bit of a pop as it comes off so as to give yourself a little more time to catch it. When you've got that add the antispin by moving each point of the move to the antispin points (watch the video).

This was the first move i learnt, it bruised my shoulder for about 2 weeks learning it but it gave me a good understanding of how a staff behaves on my back. Do a neck roll fairly horizontally and when you can see the staff coming round in the corner of your eye, lean to the left and bring your right shoulder up and catch under your arm with your right hand. After you've got this move try a 1/4 steve.

Go in underarm leaning in the opposite direction to the hand the staff is in. Do a shoulder roll at a slight angle and lean into the staff. As the staff travels across your neck continue to lean into it shifting your weight across. Catch under your other arm.

From forward with the right hand when the staff comes in front of you start the movement off as if you were going to do a 180 fishtail, but instead of taking the staff behind you (on the other side) you do a quick 360 and tuck your hand behind your head then go back into forward fishtails (it feels a bit like you untwisting your body underneth the staff). p.s. you don't really need to hold your chest wheil doing this move
